Default I need some basic Counter Strike: Source info

Hey guys, I know banglagamer has lots of great CS players, so I need some information from you guys to write an article. Basically I will need all ideas I can get and then I will compile them into one article. So please post and critically discuss. Thanks.

How to increase Frames Per Second?
    How to prevent ingame lag?
How to get better kill death ratios?
Where to plant bombs in bombsites (generally)?
What places are there to find clan members and lan games (if you know any other than banglagamer)
What to look for in a gaming mouse and mouse pad
What to look for in a gaming monitor
What to look for in a gaming laptop
What to look for in good clan member
Some tips to increase gaming reflexes

Thanks a lot in advance. Please share information with me from any or all of the above topics.

Thanks a lot in advance. Please share information with me from any or all of the above topics.
    1. http://banglagamer.com/forums/f35/fps-101-t3217
    http://www.fpsgod.com/tutorialcss-fo...sers-fps-help/

    2. you cant really prevent lag in online play as it depends on the connectivity between the two ISP's but choke and stuff like that can be lessened (http://www.fpsgod.com/reducing-choke...work-settings/) with proper settings but if the ping is 100 you cant really do anything about it ..

    3. better kill death ratios doesnt necessarily mean that he/she is a better cs player as in a real match some roles are very important but intrinsically invite more deaths.. so that player might not have the highest frag/death ratio but still be as vital to the team as any of the other members... but generally speaking increasing k/d ratio has to do with as in any fps game aiming, reflexes, positioning, correct use of nade/flash/smoke, knowing the game itself, reading the on-going situation before others and other techniques... these techniques are usually a thing about knowing the game.. i mean to know that your accuracy is much better while you stand/crouch than when your moving is a technique everyone should know and follow but not excessively.. and of course there are the things of the primary guns .. like you wont hit a thing with the AWP if you arent dead still, and different guns have different recoil patterns etc.. and also there are techniques to efficiently kill with the 3 main pistols i.e glock, usp and deagle..

    4. this is a very diverse subject and will be different on every bomb site of every map in every different situation... but generally one rule could be that wherever you plant the bomb make sure that from you/your teammates hiding spots you can see a defusing ct with ease .. the ct who is defusing must make himself vulnerable..

    5. there are a lot of decent/good new players in the bdgaming server without clans.. someone searching for members can easily pick-up a few players from the server... the facebook group of bdgaming helps too ..

    6. im no expert on this subject but all i can say is whatever your mouse is you must feel comfortable with it.. even if its a 60$ mouse if you arent comfortable with the grip and shape of the mouse dont use it.. and gaming mouse or mouse pads cannot be found in bd unfortunately.. the best mouse you can get is an A4tech x7 or deluxe dragon or something.. i dont think you can find good pads in bd.. although the 30 tk cloth ones arent too bad

    7. no idea.. but your brightness should be set to MAX! both in the monitor and in-game..

    8. no clue.. laptops are bad for gaming

    9. skills, dedication, commitment etc etc.. sometimes you can bring in new players who arent that good yet but has a desire to learn.. these players can become great in the end.. i have seen it the best example would be wasi bhai/mother from our clan.. he started playing regularly/seriously much later than most of our teammates but had one goal in his mind.. i remember 4-5 months ago i could easily defeat wasi bhai in a face-to-face situation.. and some of us werent too sure when he was taken into the clan about a year ago.. but incredibly enough through dedication and of course skills he is now one of the BEST riflers of bd source scene , and our clan's caller too

    1. I would recommend using special made configs which are legal, like Casey's config v2 or Kaizen's config.

    2. In game lag? Get a better processor and better (more stable) internet. A good GPU would help heaps as well.

    3. Kill to death ratio is proper (professional) CSS isn't important, coz you have roles like Flankers, chargers, holders, suicide bomber, and all these roles get no kills.

    4. There is a simple rule, plant where you can see from a far distance, and they can not defuse silently, mostly this would be in an open space.

    5. Best place would be to go to the bdgaming.net server, or to go to the local pubs (cafe as it is called in Bangladesh), and try to find new talent.

    6. A good mouse would be something with a decent dpi (800 - 2000 is really good for CSS). And mouse pads would defer from people to people, like ZeuS said, in BD there are no good pads, apart from the BLACK or BLUE 30 taka pads. =).
    http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide/index.html

    7. LCD monitors create laag sometimes in CSS. So most prefer the regular flat CRT monitors, and ofcource gamma and brightness should be set to max.

    8. I personally hate laptops, and I know for a fact, there isn't a decent laptop which can support CSS at the professional level.

    9. A good clan member would be someone who's dedicated to the game and wants to learn and has the will to actually watch pros and learn from them. Which is EXTREMELY rare in BD.

    10. For reflexes I'd recommened scrim (play 5v5 matches) and dm (deathematch) ALOT! ^_^
Australian-I feel for ya bro gaming on a piece of crap you should be twice as good at any game you play. Thats really really a scary thought. Part of me does not want you to get a new rig.

Uni void ey onek bhalo korei ache I suppose. He just forgets to show in match-day Don't we all get along so nicely.

I welcome all former UT players to get into CSS, would be fun.

Gaming Laptops - Dual Core / Centrino Duo + 2gb ram + dedicated graphics card. There are several HP and Dell out there for the task. Alienware, if you have the monaaay.

Sensifar obviously has no clue when he talks about hardware.

Zeus is right about MOTHER and Z being dedicated towards learning pro techniques and strats. I have to spend time on a little studies and lots of work, thus I end up learning a few things second hand, from them, which is, not a bad thing at all

It's true that I have started playing CS:S recently, but that doesn't make me a former UT player! I'm still planning on going pro with UT3.

DC, thanks for the info the laptop! And I like your post on the fps.

    affirmative.

Ok, let me put this straight.

Gamers, in past, intended to avoid LCDs as they had high filcker rates, and there was some problem with the "gray to gray" ratio thingy. But mordern LCD monitors have these issues solved. But still gamers do preffer CRT over LCD. why? because of FPS or frames per second. There is a complicated description behind this but i would put it simply, you cannot have more than 100 FPS in games if you're using an LCD. To get more than that, you would have to go for CRT. Like, if you are willing to have 200 FPS in crysis 2, you got to choose an CRT ( and ofcourse, you gotta have 2 x GPU / SLI or Crossfire ). Now there are some counter logics.. people say, the difference between 150 FPS and 100 fps is just 50 frames in every SECOND which should hardly be noticable as your brain can only store 10 frames per second in its short term memory thingy. But trust me, the difference is HUGE. Try yourself. Play CSS with two different FPS settings. 50 and 100. Im sure you will understand the difference quite clearly.

So yeah. If you are a pro gamer like ZEUS, and willing to do every last thing to even beat your ownself (in terms of performance) and that you are also willing to squeeze every last drop of power from your SLI machine, then CRT is the thing for you.

If not, go for LCD. much much better. You can play games, watch movies, surf the net for hours.. yet your eyes wont get red.

you can easily differentiate between 50 fps and 100 but you CANNOT differentiate between 100 fps and 150 fps.. its not how much fps boost your getting that matters its from what initial fps the boost is achieved that matters.. arif bhai er age 399 (or 499 bhule gesi) fps e capped thakto always as game ta er theke beshi support kore na.. but i daresay that he couldnt tell the difference between that and my pc when its capped at 121 fps..

there is something about the refresh rate of monitors too... if your monitor has 60hz refresh rate but your pc can produce 100 fps in cs you wont get any benefits.. i think its something like that.. and here LCDs have a lower refresh rate that CRTs
