Default GeForce 314.07 WHQL Drivers: Optimized For Crysis 3, Assassinís Creed 3 & Far Cry 3

The new GeForce 314.07 WHQL driver is now available to download. An essential update for gamers jumping into Crysis 3 this week, 314.07 WHQL improves single-GPU and multi-GPU performance in Crytek’s sci-fi shooter by up to 65%.

Other highlights include sizeable SLI and single-GPU performance gains of up to 27% in Assassin’s Creed III, 19% in Civilization V, 14% in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, 14% in DiRT 3, 11% in Just Cause 2, 10% in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, 10% in F1 2012, and 10% in Far Cry 3.

Rounding out the release is a ‘Excellent’ 3D Vision profile for Crysis 3, a SLI profile for Ninja Theory’s DmC: Devil May Cry, and an updated SLI profile for the free-to-play, third-person co-op shooter, Warframe.

You can download the GeForce 314.07 WHQL drivers with one click from the GeForce.com homepage; Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 packages are available for desktop systems, and for notebooks there are Windows 7 and Windows 8 downloads that cover all non-legacy products.

If you have any feedback leave a comment at the bottom of the article, and if you have a technical issue please report the problem via the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form.

    Crysis 3
Following a closed alpha and an open beta, Crysis 3 finally hits store shelves this week, and as you might expect Crytek’s shooter is as graphically demanding and power hungry as previous releases in the franchise. To give your system the best chance of success in the technologically-advanced title, download and install 314.07 WHQL, which improves single-GPU performance by up to 4.7%, and boosts multi-GPU performance by up to 65%.

Paired with a high-end processor, our GPUs hit the levels of performance shown below at 1920x1080, with Very High, maxed-out settings, and 4xMSAA enabled.

Seems like the last beta just WHQL'd. And a lot more benchmarks in the actual link.

The specs do not reflect the truth. Here's what the article says, for those interested. A quote: :"improves single-GPU performance by up to 4.7%, and boosts multi-GPU performance by up to 65%." So as we can see the real increase for non SLI users will be a max of 4.7% with Crysis 3.
Now on other games, the 670 users will get a 27% boost in Assasins Creed 3. Other increases there range from 12-3.7%. Not the most significant but still considerable. Keep in mind that even to attain these increases Nvidia paired their cards up with an i7-3960X. I really doubt most people have that. Not saying that the driver is useless, but their statement of a 65% increase is distorted and biased, to say the least.

65% was a given, it is an SLI fix, not a single GPU one, C3 runs fine on single GPUs. But there might be other graphical fixes for the game which may not be detailed here. 3960X doesn't matter.

Unless all threads are used, 3960X won't be a great deal faster than a 3770K, could be slower even since IPC is about 10% better on the latter. but when all threads are used 3960X will be about 40-45% faster than a 3770K at the same clock speeds depending on the application used. I guess C3 is the real successor to the original crysis that was released back in 07, C2 just wasn't as good and looked quite bland in comparison though geometry was better owing to DX11 and tessellation, but that was still after the patch that was released later on.
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!
