Angry Next Generation NVIDIA and AMD GPUs Delayed to Q4 2013

There will be no new generation of video cards with the launch of Intel Haswell in June.

Sources of SweClockers say that AMD and Nvidia postpones new circuits to the end of 2013.

The graphics in virtually every price range starts to get time for AMD and Nvidia to round off today's generation and focus on next. An excellent opportunity in connection with Intel Haswell in June, but new architectures seem to take much longer than that.

SweClockers state that both AMD and Nvidia decided to postpone the next generation of video cards. The new circuits can be "at best" pop up in the fourth quarter of 2013, ie in the period October-december. This could mean, for example, the Radeon HD 7970 has time to fill two years before a proper replacement can find on the market.

Despite this lurks a thing or two graphics cards on the horizon. Nvidia plans to launch monster model Geforce Titan in late February. According to the rumors can be more models with GPU GK110 introduced ahead of the summer or autumn. While there is talk that AMD can finally launch the infamous Radeon HD 7990 "New Zealand", although partners manufacturer PowerColor already launched graphics cards in the 7000 series dual Tahiti XT. Exactly what happens on the graphics front remains therefore to be seen...

LOL Im pretty sure TSMC is having problems with their yields. That aside I wonder what affect will the launch of the infamous titan have on AMD.

LOL no its not, tech getting pushed further is a good thing and besides just because that you have something new does not mean that the current hardware that you have is obsolete people need to change their thinking.

Think of it like this for example 7970/680 are currently the cream of the corp now the next gen comes with a mid range card that performs as good as the 680 but priced less and consumes less power a perfect example would be the GTX660 (non ti) to the GTX 580, the performance is nearly identical with the 660 being marginally on top when the cards are maxed out oced.

:/ You don't need a product delay to save up for a next gen gpu.

What you just mentioned has been the same way of thinking for a very long time, and is the idealistic way to look at it too. But in reality, what happens is games are tailored more towards newer hardware, and by that I don't mean uses new features, but rather they are inefficient in coding and the brute horsepower of the newer cards are needed to maintain high FPS.

I hate the short life-cycles of the GPUs, they don't become redundant but I know for a fact that a new game with barely better graphics will come out and run like crap on my system. And the only way to get the best experience will be to get whatever is the latest.
