    Default Need help/suggestion about study

Ok, let me introduce myself first.
I've completed Diploma-in-Engineering from Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute last year. After completing diploma I thought to get myself into a job. But sadly, I learned the hard way that it is tough to get a job with only diploma degree.
So after wasting another year, I've decided to study B.Sc.
Now the problem is, I have done diploma from 'Power Technology' (close to Mechanical) which I don't like reading at all. I've this trend toward CSE, but I'm also thinking about EEE which is said to be better for getting job later. (getting job is the main purpose of our study anyway. )

So what do you think? What should I choose for BSc? CSE or EEE? or maybe Mechanical?
Which university will be better for me?.
I've found daffodil university offers 3 years course for diploma holder.
    http://www.daffodilvarsity.edu.bd/ad...ition-fee.html
I don't know about NSU or Brack.
Please suggest which universities are the reputed one for BSc (CSE/EEE) as I have almost zero knowledge about pvt. unis of dhaka. (My CGPA of diploma is 3.02 out of 4, if that matters.)

I'm not tagging or mentioning anyone but I do expect comment/suggestion from all wise big B's of BG. And all others as well. Your suggestion will help me taking an important decision.

    Thank you.

I heard there is a institute named duet which are like buet for diploma holders did you try there? And also IUB and AUST are very good in engineering side so you can have a look there and cse will be better over eee and mechanical and if we see the job demand, cse has better oportunities than eee or ME in our country

DUET is like RUET, KUET etc. It was BIT first and then turned into university. And no, I don't stand any chance to get admitted there.

AUST is good for engineering but I heard they require double golden A+ (but dont know about requirements for diploma degree holders)
Two of my friends chose AUST, even after getting chance in KUET.

    Why? Because of year loss?

oh, then I'll probably have to keep AUST out of my list.
edit: It is practically impossible to get A+ for a polytechnic student. Though I'm sure they require atleast 3.8+ for diploma, if they allow anyway.

no, because that is the only public uni for diploma engineeres, competition is very tough, I don't have any preparation to take the admission test, and I don't want to re-read my departmental subjects. Cause oi subject gulo ami kokhonoi valovabe porini.
    = lack of confidence.

he just told you about the regular admission system for AUST but the diploma holders have different sections so you dont need to be worry about the A plus thing and one of my known brother graduated bsc engineering from aust in civil engineering and he also passed from diploma line so it should be better you apply there cause in private engineering universities this university is good

KUET chere AUST te vorti hoitese pagol naki! ! Anyway i also got chance at KUET this year but due to having a bad subject i didnt get admit there but rejecting KUET and getting admission into AUST is a worse idea dont know why they do that but the facilities in public university has, any private university even cant fullfill that no matter how good it is and KUET is one of the best engineering university too. .but if they got a bad subject or unexpected subject like me then its just a bad luck btw AUST didnt require golden a+ . .any a+ holders can apply there

Sub most probably LE paicilo and Dhaka te basa and basay theke porashona korte chay, aei karone.

Aeita toh valo, 2011 teh ak bhaia Barisal Medical a chance pay and vorti hoy, but aei year NSU teh admit hoy medical chere chole geche. Ar barisal medical besh valoi. Tar por o.
Aust a je double golden chara jaoa jay na aeita na, but 1st r diker sub gulo paoa jabe na.
@Badhon_raj Dont loose your hope. At least give it a try. Ami akta bhaia k chintam je HSC te 3 point something paicilo, so buet a admit toh durer kotha, DU tei admission test dite pare nai. But uni tar porer year all subject HSC exam(improvement diye) gpa5 pay and akhon se BUET a pore. So nothing is impossible.

AUST has a minimum requirement of CGPA 3.5 for diploma holders, which I don't have .
So please suggest me some other good university.

    >AUST is good for engineering but I heard they require double golden A+ (but dont know about requirements for diploma degree holders)

They don't need anything, because I know of two people with less than optimal results getting in this very year. The CGPA requirement of 3.5 is indeed true though.

I'm here at North South, majoring in CSE. While I personally love the subject, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if they didn't have a passion for it. Trust me on this, CS involves a lot more than 'making and playing games.'

that's a typical 'codex' comment. thanks.
I'm not into 'making and playing games.' rather I like the 'problem solving' part more. And probably I can say Computer and Internet are my only passion (programming is not yet ). Now do I qualify for CSE?

p.s. can you please help me with some information as you are studying in nsu?
    1. Do they have course for diploma holders? (i.e. 3 years)
    2. Do I qualifi? (my cgpa is 3.02)
    3. Is the admissing test real tough?
    4. When admission starts?

I couldn't find these information in nsu website.

You checked iub and aiub? Aiub has a very good section for cse and may be you will be qualified too as it doesnt require so much results in admission
