    Default Viper, Netherdrake

What's Viper's proper build? I heard it was SnY, but from what I've learned from all of you, I would say SnY has some disadvantages. Loathers, MKB and Butterfly are other items, I've seen people make, so which one is good?

IF you are doing good, rush radiance, butterfly and then bkb/buriza, heart.

    otherwise, try vanguard, sny, crystalis.

also, bot isnt bad if you start ganking early and do good.

Well well, today i watched the match between sohel(SRS) and HASIB, sohel beat hasib brutally with viper. Sohel is a decent Dota player and believe me he's never a noob now.
Btw, his item with viper was lother, assault, butterfly, tread.
Welcome sohel to the world of Dota.

Travel, Dagger, Lothars, MKB, BKB, Cuirass - Super Duper Mega Offensive Build (Virtus.Pro Build).
Treads/Travel, (3X Wraiths), Radiance, BKB, Butterfly, Heart, Cuirass - Intermediate Build.
Treads/Travel, (4X Wraiths), Desolator, Dagger, Cuirass, Heart, Butterfly - Advanced Micro Intensive Build.
Treads/Travel, (3X Wraiths), Maelstrom, Skadi, Cuirass, Buriza - Retarded, Handicapped Build.
    Treads/Travel, (3X Wraiths), SnY, Butterfly, Buriza, Cuirass - Blizzard Build™. (?)
Treads/Travel, (3X Wraiths), Diffusal, Butterfly, Buriza, >Manta, Heart - Advanced Situational Teamplay Build.

    * There is no point in making Diffusal unless your team really needs purge.
    * Heart is effective 90% of the time, because of Resistant Skin and the fact that in game Viper actually needs quite some time to eliminate a formidable target. So, standing there and being able to fight is a big need. As much as it may seem like, in reality, Viper has no burst damage. Yes, he can slow and kill but it requires a lot of time. (The reason his is rarely picked in team games despite being such a great hero).
    * The Desolator build can be effective if you know how to use it properly. You should hit your enemy once without poison Attack to inflict Corruption (the -ve armor effect) on your enemy, and then auto-cast Poison Attack. If the foe is a tank, you might have to strategically turn off Poison Attack to inflict Corruption on your enemy again as it will not likely die from the 3-4 second of the first corruption. If the enemy dodges you using fog at this time, your kill will most probably be lost. So, it is apparent you buy a dagger if you want to use this build.
    * You should try to buy Travel most of the time as Viper is a killer and it needs to kill for it to be effective. And, to do that you'll need mobility that Teleportation provides. If you want a carry-hero that'll farm all game and carry near the end, you're better off picking Razor/Sniper/Troll/Luna/Drow etc.

Just to put 2 and 2 together from PD's post

    1. Viper has no burst damage, but deadly slow from spell and DOT/slow from ulti.
    2. Viper is a killer hero, and NEEDS to kill.

Conclusion: You have to kill early, as many heroes as possible. Gank with him....he will usually dominat a lane solo if the opponent is not tinker/zeus....if u have these 2 in your lane, ask a spell caster of your team to just come once and gank him for u....and from then on, dominate your lane and gank the others....You have to have decent damage mid/late game to capitalize on frenzy...

Most heroes who's builds I ask for, you reply with, "Make Boots of Travel", now that's one Item I could NEVER make. =S. So basically, I make 3 Wraiths, and then I go for the Travel? Or make 1 larger item and then make Travel? =\\.

    EDIT:

Doesn't Viper have low attack speed for a Agi hero? So how come in each build there's only 1 agi item? And where is god'a name do you get so much cash? =\\.

All the attack speed you need comes from Frenzy. The downsides of Frenzy are negated with a Heart. Also, Resistant Skin helps here to survive too.

BoT is the golden item of DotA. Well you ought to make Treads. Playing it is easy, playing it properly is extremely hard. I could say stuff about playing Viper that would go over your head (Accusation Aspects, Target Abuse, Range Optimization, Solo-Targeting yourself) but these aspects are best self-learned. It comes in time.
