FOr racing geared bikes there are 2 options : 1. slim looking racing bikes with slim wheels & 2. normal also cool looking geared with big fat wheels

they will be about 12k-20k depending on brand & models

the simple but good lookin geared bikes will cost u 7k-9k max, couple of months ago bought a Motomax geared bike 8.5k for my frnd which is best at this price range.

finally u have to go Bongshal for all these kinds of bikes

Go to Cyclelife Exclusive, Shanta Western Tower(HQ of Meghna Group), Tejgaon-Gulshan link road. Ask them for Raleigh AT-10. They are giving 20% discount on this cycle now. So, you will get it around 15k.

A lot of people here are talking about bikes who actually dont own one.

laux is not that good. They have some which are OK. But most of them are crap. Compared to Merida, TREK or Format. New brands like Totem and Upland are good too.

You have to increase your budget a bit if you want a good bike. Getting a bike like Merida, TREK, Format will help you a lot. Most of them have alloy frame, so they are light and have good components. Will last long if taken care of. Even some can be used as good offroad xc racers if you get a MTB.

Motomax is not good. Heavy as hell and disk brakes at this price are ¤¤¤¤. a good disk brake, the only brake set starts at 4-5k.

I have personally rode Merida Warrior 550, Duke 550, Trek 3500v, 3700D, Format Meteor, Fuji Nevada 5.0

All of them are really good. i own a Warrior 550 and ride it everyday. For 22k the warrior 550 was awesome. More than 13 months used and still going strong

one more thing, a lot of people thing expensive bikes should not have problems. But that is not it. you have to take care of it. And might have to change some parts overtime as they wear out.

I can't recommend anything in your price range as I have not ridden any.

Please do not go for looks. There are bikes which has killer looks but they are crap. Talk with experts. Go into BDCyclists in FB and ask them questions. Ride the one you want to buy. get a feel for it. Compare with others. Get some more user reviews. Then buy a bike

Also you can get one second hand. You will get a much better bike at the same price range.
