    Post Upgrading pc..Need suggestions

I'm upgrading my 7 year old pc.It can't even play cod4 with 30fps on low settings(i get 12-19).max budget is 24K.I had much more but parents decided to buy a washing machine,a oven and a stupid looking 'nakshi katha'.Any way forget about that.here's my pc specs

    *intel pentium 4- 2.66 ghz
    *msi g41-p26 mobo
    *2X2gb ddr3 1333mhz ram
*samsung syncmaster 591s 15 inch crt
*casing with top mounted non brand 500w psu
    *samsung 500gb 7200rpm hdd
    *asus dvd burner

So tell me what i need to change.by the way,i was looking at at hd 7850 but now it's impossible.so the 7770 should be the best i can get.I'm a big rts,fps fan and i'd love to play games like bf3,crysis etc.

Get a 2nd hand core2duo processor within 5-6k (maximum) , buy a cooler master 450w psu 4k and gigabyte 7770 at 11k . .so everything will be 6+4+11= 21k and also you can upgrade your rams too

if you want to upgrade for 3-4 years more, then either g630 or c2duo cant handle them so better you make a plan for next 2years and save some money for new gen processor specially try to buy i3 at least and yes you can buy h61 borads but g630 and c2duo 8xxx series are exactly same in performance as well as they priced also the same in market and you can overclock c2duo's when you cant do that with g series so think about it

Okay, you seem like you need a total overhaul, first lets see how much you can get for your old system:

    That P4 processor plus Mobo= 2,500/=
    That old 15" CRT Monitor= 1,500/=

So our total budget for the upgrade should be around 28,000/= including the money gathered from selling off old goodies.

The rest of the system we're going to keep as it's not possible for us to upgrade or exchange everything within a limited budget.

What you should be eying at:

    Pentium G630 2.70 Ghz processor- 5,200/=
    ASRock H61 motherboard- 4,200/=
An 18.5" LED Monitor of your choice- 8,000/=
    Sapphire HD 7750 1GB DDR5- 10,500/=

    Total- 27,900/=

This is the best I could come up with for your limited budget.

Edit: It seems you're going to buy the monitor separately next year, if that's the case, here's a revised suggestion:

    Pentium G630 2.70Ghz Processor- 5,200/=
    Gigabyte H61 Motherboard- 5,800/=
Gigabyte HD 7770 OC Edition- 11,000/=
    A 450W/550W psu of your liking- 3,500~6,500/=

    Total- 25,500~27,500/=

Seems you'll be needing to extend your budget a little bit, and no, a G630 won't bottleneck a HD7770, even if you face bottleneck it will be "relative" and will very much depend on the game title you are playing.

It seems like you pretty much know what you've to do, one thing I must mention is that the ASRock motherboard has a 2 year warranty whereas Gigabyte offers a 3 year warranty, so pick components carefully.

If i am not wrong then binary logic is the only importer for intel accessories in bangladesh so this will be better if you buy them directly instead going to rayans + check your processor before purchase that they are intact into the box or not. .and asrock are very good company with a very reasonable price . .you can go for it and binary's rma system is better than smart so i will recommend you to buy asrock from binary

Sorry for not posting a few days. I've made deal with a relative. I'm buying a core 2 duo(probbably e8400 or something like that. i still have to check) for 4.5k from him next week.
