    Default sound card help

    let's say, i am gonna buy the altec lansing expressionist plus 2.1 sound system . now do i aslo have to buy a seperate sound card?? or my onboard one will do.

    my mobo: asus P8H61M_LE rev 2.0

    bulit in sound card is something like: Realtek® ALC 887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC (not sure ) . there are 3 output on the back of my mobo.

    your help is greatly appreciated

    A good external sound card will obviously give you benefits. If you are talking about the MX6021, then get a sound card, Realtek Audio is crap even in high-end boards, so I would highly recommend getting a external SC.
