depends on what u r lookkng for...

2nd one would be more future proof....regarding the facts that
1.after some time u can oc the cpu to match current level
2.7950 should have more resale value(relativly) and then if u upgrade your gpu it should get u through another yr or so.
3.games are generally more optimised for cpu with less cores so i5 should be good enough for u

hmm, prb may be found in given price. cz i don't find some card like 7970Ghz oc or 7950 OC/boost in bd shop. i see that the price of normal 7950 is 33K. boost version may be 2k more i thought.

the last combination seems good cause this is more future proof than other one . You can hardly see any fps difference in 2 and 4 combination. According to some benchmark the difference between i7 and i5 in gaming are 3-4 fps and 7950 is almost 5-6fps better than 7870 so if 7950 runs with i5 3570k and 7870 runs with i7 3770k , then both will draw the same fps logically. But gpus are stays less than cpu itself. Who knows the future, you may change your gpu rather than the full setup then i7 might be come helpfull than i5 thats why i suggested to take the last combo

Option 2 seems to be the best if you want to overclock and want a balanced system, as the CPU should be able to reach around 4.4 ghz and the 7950 is known to be a great overclocker and should reach stock 7970 levels easily. That way you will have both a powerful CPU/GPU.

If you do not want to overclock or just simply want the highest FPS at higher resolutions, Option 1 is the best as you will get the most FPS and while you will not really be CPU limited in most tasks, there may be an instance or two where it might happen as the 7970GE is very powerful.

Option 4 is the worst whether you overclock or not, as the 7950 and 7970 will net you a lot more FPS especially at the details cranked up compared to the 7870, especially when overclocked.

In terms of raw FPS, option 1 is the best but 2 is more balanced from a CPU/GPU standpoint. Option 3 is also viable if you dont want to overclock but option 1 is still better as the 7970GE will net you more FPS compared to the upgrade from 3470 to 3770 at higher resolutions.

The second option if you don't mind ocing them.

1st would be the best in stock clocks though. forget 7870.
