Chinese giants E-HOME have added to their list of remarkable achievements for 2008 (including winning WCG Asia) by taking down first place in the SMM Grand National Dota Tournament.

The absolute cream of Asia's DotA talent was in attendence at the tournament, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Every major team from China and South-East Asia, along with many minor ones, battled it out for one of the biggest prize purses DotA has ever seen.

All the major players, like Kingsurf, Fnatic, CaNt, Tbun`w4sl and E-HOME made it past the group stages without too much trouble, so the playoffs very quickly saw many of these titans facing off directly.

The loser bracket became littered with teams desperate to stay alive, Chinese team CaNt knocked down KS and Fnatic in quick succesion, before being knocked down themselves by their countrymen E-HOME in the winner bracket final.

One team however proved that being down doesn't necessarily mean out however.
Singaporean team eVo`XtC got sent to the loser bracket in the first round of the playoffs by KS, then proceeded to go on a rampage, aware that every game from then on was a must-win.

Their streak seemed unstoppable, they got revenge on KS and knocked out CaNt in the loser bracket final, who had been dominating teams left right and centre.

The one question on everyone's lips was 'Can their momentum continue? Can they take down E-HOME?'

It would certainly be tough, the final was set to be played in a best of three format, with E-HOME have a one win advantage due to them coming from the Winner Bracket.

eVo would not be able to lose a single match, and would have to beat E-HOME two games in a row in order to secure victory.

It was not to be however, as the Chinese dominated the first game and secured their victory without a single loss in the entire tournament. Quite a feat.

The final standings looked like this:

    1st China E-HOME

    · 36,000.00 MR Cash (7,903 EUR)(687561 taka)
    · 5 x Seagate Maxtor 120GB external Hard drive
    · 5 x Steelseries Siberia Neckband Headset
    · 5 x Warcraft Battlechest

    2nd Singapore eVo`XtC

    · 18,000.00 MR Cash (3,951 EUR)(284472 taka)
    · 5 x Seagate Maxtor 120GB external Hard drive
    · 5 x Steelseries Fullsize Headset
    · 5 x Warcraft Battlechest

    3rd China CaNt

    · 10,000.00 MR Cash (2,195 EUR)(158040 taka)
    · 5 x Seagate Maxtor 120GB external Hard drive
    · 5 x Silverstone Tower Case
    · 5 x Warcraft Battlechest

Top teams of Asia like KS,Fnatic were there too, Fnatic stood 5th where as the malaysian teams t'bun w4si stood 7th ( This team is in 8th position in the internet play in the world)
And KS were disappointed as they expected to do much better they couldnt prove anything.
They had the most pics from the event ,but had no pics of the prize giving ceremony, GL to KS for the upcoming tourneys and BTW at SMM the champions were Fnatic from MGC dota tournament in china where E-home and CaNT was available there but couldnt even come in the 1st three, So this means the chinese have really improved their dota over these months .

EHOME has played competitive DotA for 4 years. They are taking over nothing. They would take over the World DotA Scene if they didn't have 3 sec lag with every other country in the world.

SNOY BEST PLAYER RIGHT AFTER YMT. NO DOUBT!!

Surviviors played nothing out of the ordinary. China has an awesome infra-structure, but a BAD BAD outgoing/incoming ping!
