AMD BullDozer is slower than even 1st generation quad cores. So keep your eye closed and take the Ivy i5.

You should not even consider AMD. They are that bad.
The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power.

Photoshop is primarily single threaded. For that, an i5 will certainly be better. You can consider the FX-8350 if youre doing rendering though as it will easily be faster than an i5-3570k for those tasks

(4 cores 4 threads) vs (8 cores 8 threads)... sinlge threaded application i5 should win(intel's single core performance is higher than amd)... but when it comes to multi threaded app 4 vs 8... i guess bulldozer should win...

Unfortunately it doesn't most of the time. Take a look at the reviews and see for yourself.

Core i5 Ivy bridge is much better if u use external graphics card! AMD Bulldozer 8core will perform good in games if u use integrated graphics!

bulldozers do not have any integrated graphics... & most of the high end mobos for bulldozer do not have integrated gpu (like msi 990FXA GD80).

& a few mainboards offer HD 4230 or this typ gpu... they r not good(better than intel HD2000) but they are not good obviously...
