Default Site Downtime and Other Changes

Sorry about the unexpected downtime. The host had a lot of problems with their servers.

We have switched to a better host (current one is VPS, previously was shared) a few months ago. But it seems this is not good enough. We will try to switch to a full dedicated server within next two months.

Suddenly BG is appearing wider than it was couple of days ago.

Now i have to scroll to the right to read anything.

So will it always look like this from now on?
    A. Degrading fellow human beings over the internet is the only way for social rejects to feel any sense of empowerment whatsoever

    B. If one party understands something that the other party doesn't, degrading that person leads to an enhanced self-perception of intelligence

    C. The internet is a clear depiction of our natural aggression towards each other as a species, that will undoubtedly wipe itself off the planet at some point in time.

its actually is narrower on my monitor, before it will expand the whole width of the monitor but now it seems there is some spaces on the left and right. This LOOKS good! I hope it stays that way!

    Yeah, it looks much wider.

Have to scroll right side to read it.

So posting this way so that nobody else has to scroll right.

And loading time is very long for me!

Except that, haven't face any problem yet.

4:3 ratio on 1080p, I actually prefer it this way. Easier to focus.

There are a lot of reasons to use a fixed layout. It is called fixed width layout, not 4:3 or narrow/wide etc. Without going in to details, let me just say that almost all professional websites use this type of layout. There might be a fluid layout again in future; but not now.

We are focusing on improving the site and there will be lot of changes in near future, both visual and functional. Two examples would be emphasis bbcode and regular news posting on HOME.

You guys are free to discuss/suggest about visual changes. I, as an one man coding team, can't guarantee about implementing all but I will consider.

    A few suggestions.
    • I think Banglagamer Home need some attention first. At the moment its not much appealing. You might check a few big gaming sites. For example: GameInformer, CVG, VG247.
    • The top banner could use some in game scene or game character, the blank space at the right side of Banglagamer.com. That would be easier for foreigners to identify this site as a gaming site.
    • And I believe if you want members from outside, then you should erase those torrent section as well as warez/illegal download links and stuffs.

All those images are copyrighted work, @anik_lc . That actually is a double edged sword.

I don't see the logo changing much if at all.
