Razer Gaming Tablet : Project Fiona
Gaming gear outfit Razer decided it wanted in on some of that action too. But, unsure whether gamers were as psyched about a gaming-focused tablet as they were, they put it to the ultimate test: a Facebook "Likes" campaign.
Okay, maybe a Kickstarter campaign would have been the ultimate test. But it hit its 10,000-Likes goal the day after starting the promotion, and Razer's Min-Liang Tan confirmed on Twitter that Project Fiona is a go.
So what is this thing exactly? Well, Razer showed off a prototype at CES back in January, and it had a 1280 x 800 multitouch screen, and ran Windows 7 on an i7 CPU (with a separate, unspecified dedicated graphics processor).
The attached nunchuck-style controller pads are apparently the tablet's final design, but Razer's fan community will reportedly have some say in determining what internals Razer puts in the final version.
Windows 8 sounds like a sure thing, although depending on what Razer chooses for a CPU (and corresponding price-point) that may mean Windows RT.

I don't see how this is a productive campaign to be honest. People will obviously 'like' it because it's cool to have such a product on the market. But let's be honest, nobody's going to buy this, and from Razer's history, this'll sell for $1200 if if ever sees the light of day.
I'd rather get a Nokia 1100 and play snakes...
$1200 price tag would be a stupidity.but knowing Razer probably you're right.
