why do you need an i7 for gaming?????????? i7 processors are special only for encoding video and audio ........and the i5 3570k lacks only hyper threading when compared to i7 processors and don't even think about going for 7850 instead of a 7950 as you have the money .....the pairing of an i5 3570k with a 7950 is just AWESOME for gaming
and the config @maheer.dhruba suggested is perfect

Sounds good to me. It's just that my nephew is a kid, he does not understand this stuff at all, I said to him that this combination is indeed perfect for him, but he kept whining about i7, polapan. Jai hok, I'll make sure he buys this rig. xD Thanks!

Nobody is gonna suggest an SSD Hardware?.....Jeez just for the 128 or 64GB ones, is gonna save him time and his life with faster booting, also with impact of windows tasks performances and gaming faster than before.

Another suggestion for a cooler, get a Hyper EVO 212 in Binary Logic.

^^this. Decrease some budget on casing and get an 128gb crucial M4. If you don't want to overclock (as this is for a kid) you may leave the k part from processor and save some there. (and may be some on cooler).
otherwise maheer bro's config is the way to go.
