    Default New PC

i just want to know how much it will cost of the following build in Bangladesh and if my choices are good or not

    intel core i5 2500K 3.3Ghz
what motherboard would be best? I hear Asrock is great.. why? and why are asus and msi are good choices too, i want to know their strengths and weaknesses
i have a local 500W psu, is it okay?
GTX 506ti, could you tell me the differences between an Evga and Msi 560Ti, i mean its from nvidia so why different chip sets has different prices? like leadteck is offering at 13000, how? is leadteck good?
    isnt EVGA the best?
what would be a good casing, price??
    8GB ram
    i have a Hitachi 500Gb hdd
    Big question
isnt Core i5 2500k better than the 3rd generation core i5s?
    thanks

i am pretty much using the same config.my motherboard is gigabyte z68.but i would recommend asrock. you should get a new 80 plus certified psu. my graphics card is msi gtx 560 ti twin frozr ii 2 gb. its a great mid range card.if you can find it go for it. you can buy in win casing @4-5k. there is a thread in this forum comparing 2nd and 3rd generation core i5. check it out. if your only purpose is gaming(and not video editing) you will do just fine with core i5 2500k.

    whats your budget?
Ci5 2500K is a good choice...any z77 will be good with it (Asus,gigabyte,asrock)...560ti is a good card but not a good buy as you can get similar performance at much lower or equal price (HD7850) and these newer cards consume less power...there is a lot of good casings..gigabyte casings start from 3k..theres TT V4 ~3.5k...some antec midtower casings(one, one S) ~6k...some CM midtower (if you do spend 8k+ then dont go for storm enforcer, try to get 690 II advanced) casings ~9k...and you will need a good PSU if you use a good GPU and OCed quad core processor.
about EVGA..yes they produce great nvidia cards...but not the best cards..price/performance wise you can go with asus/msi/gigabyte cards..(you might get 1-5% better performance with EVGA cards in some games but thats not what always happen with other games) and leadteck is really really bad..there is a thread about leadteck 560ti here in BG

i would suggest going for a 3rd gen i5..lyk the i5 3450...there isnt much difference between the 2500k nd 3450 in gaming...but for doing other jobs lyk encoding or conversion, 3rd gen is the better choice..why not go for a better cpu with a lower price?
as for the gpu...dont buy leadtek..these card have serious temperature issues...as terrygr8 said...go for the HD7850(i would recommend sapphire)...nice price to performance ratio...electricity bill o kom ashbe..
as for the cost of ur rig...
    I5 2500k...around 20k/3rd gen I5 3450..16.5k
    Gigabyte z77...10.5k
    Sapphire HD7850 OC....22k/560ti...17k(except asus one..which costs around 20k)
    PSU...Thermaltake Tr2 550w...7k
Casing...TT V4...3.5k(take this low cost casing..nd use the xtra money for buying casing fans)
RAM...8gb is a good choice..make sure to go for 1600mhz

2500K (3.3GHz) is a decent processor...its overclockable (easily upto 4.5 GHz and some get it upto 4.8GHz, 5GHz is also possible) and when OCed to those mentioned speed it can easily beat 3rd generation locked processors like 3450, 3470, 3550, 3570 (which are overclockable to a certain extent e.g. Ci5 3450 which has clock speed of 3.1GHz can achieve 3.7 Ghz) ...there is also 3570K which is better than 2500K....so at same clockspeed 3rd generation processors (e.g. 3.3GHz) can beat 2nd generation processors (e.g. 3.3GHz)..but 2nd generation processors are more OC friendly so that puts them in almost same position...if you want to buy a 3rd generation processor i'll suggest Ci5 3450 (pro: you'll get better re-sell values when you upgrade, performance decent. con:not much of a overclocker, you dont need to be an expert to use it) and if you want 2nd generation processor then go for 2500K (pro: Overclockable, runs cool, decent performance. Con: overclocking might not be your field, have to buy a cooler, need to expert at these things)..if i were you i'd buy Ci5-3450
    3570K price ~23000BDT
    2500K price ~20000BDT
    3450/3550 price ~17000BDT/18000BDT
about motherboard...asrock is not the best but if you think about it..is there any best brand?? many might say its ASUS...but i had problems with asus before..gigabyte went well for me...and now i'm using asrock..it's running my PC really well..so i don't have any complains against them..you can go for anyone of them (ASUS, ASrock, Gigabyte)..they all have good reputation ..and if you face any problem just RMA it..my suggestion: B-75 for Ci5 3450 and z77 for Ci5-2500k
