Default startup.nsh [need immidiate Tech support]

    Hi,

last night i got a random power "blink" and lost 50gb of data.. HDD showed the space and folders.. but they were not accessible.. seemed to me that i got 50gb of badsactors..

So, i formated the drive and luckily got the space back .. .

I dont have a DVD drive, i usually setup OS by USB. and this is what i did thinking a fresh OS wouldnt hurt.

But the problem is, now every time i start PC, it gets stuck at screen where it says some gibrish stuff and --

"Press Esc in 5 seconds to skip startup.nsh, any other key to continue...

    Shell> "

and i figured that if i do the Exit command like "Shell> Exit" my PC boots normally and everything works fine.

guess my PC is failing to boot properly..

    Mobo - A75MA-G55

    any idea how to fix?

It's booting into the cli mode, go look at msconfig.exe and see what it's set to boot to.

Well, Startup.nsh is a script (Sh = Shell script) that Ubuntu or CentOS uses to control the boot process if created (Usually in /boot/efi), I'm not even sure how your Windows system is running it.

As far as I know every software that coverts Win7 DVD into USB version just don't copies the windows setup files. There are some additional files which is copied or edited to ensure boot process. So, my conclusion is that during the creation of the USB stick, the creator enabled some option/s which was not needed and which is causing this system file malfunction. Try Windows 7 Startup Repair.
