    Question Would you play WoW in retail server if you could pay subscription fee from Bangladesh?

    I always wanted to play wow in retail server. It would cost me about 12,00tk/month. Sadly I have no valid way to buy the game and game time. Its how it is for most Bangladeshi players

    My Question is:

    • Would you play WoW in retail server if you could pay subscription fee from Bangladesh?

    I am currently playing on retail, on the realm Shattered hand EU. It trumps playing on any private server, trust me. And I've been there and done that on all of the mainstream private servers, from leading arguably the strongest guild (Sunset Riders) ever on BC, in both PvE and PvP, on Bloodcraft to clearing ICC on Molten when it first came out years ago. The experience on retail in my opinion is much better. The playing is more fluid, there are virtually no bugs and it's more "massively multiplayer". The last aspect is a huge turn off at first for a lot of ex-private server players since they're used to a much smaller community. But once you get used to it, you'll feel much better playing on retail than on any private server.

    And here's a solution to online payment problems. www.facebook.com/paymentbd. I've personally used their service. It's pretty reliable.

    Link3 mango routing for EU servers. Link3 BTCL/Mango for US servers. Friends of mine, Zaryxus and Deathless from BC, play with Qubee. They never really complain. Latency stays at 200-300. And always remember Blizzard servers are running on better hardware than private servers are, and they have higher bandwidth. If you can play on private servers you can also play on retail servers of the same region for sure.

    true, nothing can beat retail. the experience is much more fluid and you find all kind of people. either it is pvp , pve or heavy rp retail is the place to be. i think this is why you should play retail.

    I'm doing some research on playing retail wow from BD. Here is what I found

    Bad news
    You need the buy all the previous expansions of WoW to play latest Expansion.The expansions must be upgraded in the following order - you CANNOT skip expansions.

    BC = Burning Crusade
    WotLK = Wrath of the Lich King
    Cata = Cataclysm
    Mists = Mists of Pandaria

    [Reference: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1965841807]

    Good news
    We do not need to buy the boxed product which includes manuals, guide and other materials. We can just buy the Registration Keys which is much cheaper. I decided to buy World of Warcraft Starter Kit [EU]. US version is more expensive and I like EU server because of good community and less lag. These are cheapest price from web. They will send u the Key to your email address so there is no delivery cost either.

    Registration Key for:
    Taka
    World of Warcraft Starter Kit [EU] (WOW+BC+WOTLK+CATA+ 30 days play time) TK3,240
    Mists of Pandaria TK 3350
    World of Warcraft 60 Day Playtime [EU] TK 2300

    Summery
    So, to play wow cata on retail server i have to pay
    • TK3,240 for World of Warcraft Starter Kit [EU]
    • TK2,300 every 2 months or TK1,150/Month

    To play mists (latest expansion) you need to by Mists of Pandaria too

    Hope it helps some bd wow fans

    Helpful post. Reputation added. Would be more helpful if you could explain the payment method from BD. By the if I buy the starter kit do I need to download the whole thing upto cata from blizzard? or my existing copy will work and I just need to register? @xhossain22 SO for playing upto Mist of Pandaria I need to pay total of 6590 TK? Or are Cataclysm and MoP separate?

    - - - Updated - - -

    I have also seen that you can buy prepaid game time too. Is it cheaper? which one is cheaper?

    Thank you for the reputation point

    Payment method from BD
    My first target is a South African site who sells keys for MMO Games. I used to live there so I have some friends. Hopefully they will help. The prices are given in South African currency R. R1.00=TK10.00 (approximately). Now you can do the math and correct me if I'm inaccurate.
    [http://www.gametimecards.co.za/index...d-of-warcraft]

    To play mist you need to buy
    World of Warcraft Starter Kit [EU] (WOW+BC+WOTLK+CATA+ 30 days play time) TK3,240
    Mists of Pandaria TK3,350

    Getting the Soft Copy/ Downloading
    I have Original WOW DVD Image which includes WOTLK 7.5GB ISO. All you need is downloading the Patches after 3.3.5a to the latest one. But I think our Cata version will work. You have to change the realmlist.wtf for the retail server and use the official WOW launcher to update.

    I think he meant to ask how to actually pay since you cannot pay online with bank credit cards here.

    online payment from BD is only possible if you have a Resident Foreign Currency Deposit (RFCD) account and a dual currency credit card. You would then have to ask the bank to make a Foreign Demand Draft payment to the Dual currency credit card from the RFCD Account. And then you'd be able to use that card for online payments. I know that works with American Express, not totally sure about VISA and Mastercard but I'm sure that'd work. Talk to the bank for more details.

    If you want to use Paypal to pay then you need to enable Battle.net SMS protect to your account. It's a Battle.net service. https://us.battle.net/support/en/art...et-sms-protect.

    The other way, as I have mentioned above is to use temporary payment solutions provided ventures like PaymentBD. www.facebook.com/paymentBD <- Call the number on the page and talk to him. He has a big commission though. 1 dollar = 100 taka.

    Thank you very much for describing the payment method @Pyro.Dynamics-. Looking forward to play in retail very soon. Currently i have WOW Cata 4.0.6a installed. I just need to run wow launcher and update to the latest patch for Cata. Create battle.net account. Buy play times through 1 of the payment methods (preferably paymentbd group looks to be the easiest solution and most costly too ). Receive some password/key in mail which I use to log in to retail server. One question though...for playing MoP I need to buy that expansion? Otherwise I can only play Cata. But I think most of the players will move to MoP. So Cata will be less populated? And most BD ppl plays in Shatter hand EU?

    - - - Updated - - -

    Ahh 1 bad news. Looks like my WoW copy is USA version as it is enUS So after updating will I be able to join EU retail server?

    Nope, you will need a fresh EU installation. Nope, not a lot of BD people on Shattered Hand, it's a group old and very experienced players of Bloodcraft, to name names - Zaryxus, Berzerked, Bloodthrust, Zuss, Flexion, Svenko, Runelord, Jessy, Cathy/Yawn, Conqueror, Ravegirl, etc.

    You do this :-

    Go to eu.battle.net, and create an account and then use the "Download Game Client" link to download the EU version.
    Meantime, you use either of the payment methods to buy World of Warcraft Battlechest (vanilla, TBC, Wrath), Cataclysm and then MoP. Or go for the method xhossain mentioned. Once you have the game code, buy which ever means you will then use the green "Add a Game" button in the account management to add the keys to your account to upgrade it to MoP. Then you just log in and play. And a word of advice, set your country of residence to United kingdom to get all sorts of promotional offers which come up.

    And no staying on Cata isn't an option. You won't get any playing done.

    Downloading retail EU client wont be any problem. I downloaded 32 GB Age of Conan few days ago. its a F2P game so I wanted to try it. WoW EU client would be a 1 week job. I have retail DVD image of wow+bc+wotlk 3.3.5a but its US version. I'll start downloading EU version if i can buy keys for mentioned price. I have to wait to confirm about the payment from bd. I'll write another post about on it.

    Brothers, usually I play both in my desktop and my laptop. Can I just copy after downloading in desktop to laptop or do I need to download separately? There might be a problem if this thing is auto installed, then copying won't help I think...

    If u guys are looking for BD people in US server than u guys can try Frostmourne, I know many BD people who used to play on that realm (Although not all of them live in here). If I am not wrong they still play on that realm. Its Oceanic realm so time zone is more suitable. One of the most popular realm is this zone. In peak hours its really over crowded.
    @Noropishach <--- Can tell u better. He is one of them... For payment he might b able to give solution as well. Afaik he is using paypal.

    they let us pay subscribe from here, i'd definately pay it. its like in korea where the low currency rate makes it possible for everyone to pay games since they get huge amount from jobs and allowance

    but i'd play it cuz i get paid to do chores
