Question Best buy graphics card for Asus P5kpl-vm (IntelG31)

Hi... This is my first post in banglagamer . you guyz doing a really good job
I need some help. I need a good gaming nvidia graphics card for my motherboard
Asus P5kPL-vm (intel g31 chipset) at around 6000 tk
I am currently using Sapphire HD 5450 1GB
which is really bad for gaming.. I have to play at lowest resulation in my 15 inch monitor. still it cant handle the newer games.
    like ghost recon future soldier.
I want to play all the newer games in my 15 inch monitor.
later on I will change my whole system. now I just want to buy a card at cheap price and play games .

    my computers specifications are:
    Intel Core 2 duo E4500 @ 2.2 GHz
    Asus P5kPL-vm (intel g31 chipset) [ PCIe 2.0 x16slot]
    Ram 3GB DDR2
    15 inch CRT monitor
    PSU 400 watt

Some people suggesting me HD 6670 DDR5 ( i dont know it will support or not)
I liked the Nvidia GT 520 DDR3 2GB silent.. price 5700 tk. it is far more better than my current ATI card.
previously I used GT 8600 GT and I was a happy gamer but my ATI 5450 is not a gaming card at all
I heard that ATI cards doesn't support all the games.. like i can hardly play ghost recon future soldier in lowest settings on this card.. where in GT520 it runs smoothly in medium settings.
suggest me a good Nvidia graphics card for my motherboard.

go for it. Your mobo supports it. Although I'm not sure about the psu. It should support.

    that's because 520 is a better card than 5450. i.e. Compare price.

in your budget, ATI cards will perform better.

edit: it looks like you won't have any problem with the psu.

Gt540 is not a 5450 compitator bro btw from your budget, you may get 2nd hand 5670's or 6670 or you have to go for 5570 and all of this card can perform high-mediume in your 15inch monitor and also will change your point of view about nvidia

is 5570 better than GT 520 DDR3 2GB ? if yes than i would go for the DDR5.
well, i can add 2000tk+ to get a good card .
one more thing to ask radeon card comes with catalyst control center..
Here i can adjust my card's performance..
as I dont know the recommended settings I didnt change it. and I dont want to damage it.
Some games really do perform poorly in radeon cards.. i went to their official page and found out that they
provide different profiles for newer games bcoz they came to know that games r under performing ..
Like modern warfare3 they r providing a new profile setting.. I dont know how to use it or even it is save to use these edited settings.
again Nvidia comes with physiX which enhances the game graphics a lot.
previously I used Asus nvidia GT 8600 with my asus motherboard back in 2009-2010 and I was very happy with the performance.
please help me to understand which will be the best choice for my computer.

Amd 5570 is better than your mentioned gt520 and always there is a driver update for both of nvidia and amd team. .and 8600gt is a low-mid gpu and as far i know this is even better than 5450 so comparing with this are vain. And physX only useable if you have highend gpu unless this is worthless to buy a gpu only for physX! And also only few games are optimized with physX . And there is no need to change catalyst control if you dont have so much ideas about it . .always use updated drivers and be happy with gaming

As you can add 2more extra money, get the 6670 ddr3

Among GT 520, 8600GT, HD 5450, HD 5570, HD 5670, HD 6670 the HD 6670 will be best for u. i mean for your budget & for your pc(c2d 2.2 gig). even a 5670 can run crysis 2 in 1920*1080 resolution(catalyst's default settings). you have got 400W psu. assuming that its non-brand so it will provide around 250-280W. your processor will consume 65W(full load), HD 6670 66W, motherboard 10W, 1 HDD+1 ODD= 35W Misc =50W so you wont need to buy a psu.

G31 isn't PCI E X16 2.0 capable but is capable of PCI E X16 1.1, with that said you shouldn't have any problem with the performance unless your processor bottlenecks your card, which is likely to happen with your processor.
