    Default Cooler Master Evo with 2 fans at push/pull

    i have used CM evo for my processor for a few days..the temps weren't bad..
    idle=40C
    while gaming(Run, Saboteur) for 2 hours+ =54C
    maximum load=65C (15-20 mins with IBT)
    OCed to 3.9GHz and maximum load=80C

    i recently added 2 CM xtraflo red LED fans in push pull config..and here's the new result:
    idle=39C
    after playing total war shogun 2 for 2 hours+ =51C
    maximum load=57C
    i havent OCed my processor yet after i got 2 of these fans
    and my casing airflow(negetive pressure) also increased as i now have 5 90cfm silent fans from CM...
    so what do you guys think??

    Wow thats a pretty Significant drop in temps. The case pressure helps too I guess.
    The Coolermaster R4s Dropped my GPU temp by ~2-4C, and they are much more silent and looks better than Thunderblades too.

    More silent? Like really? I'll have to sell all my fans then, I disconnected 4 four of them, and only have 1 running because of it.

    Indeed they are. But still there is a humming sound if you have like 7 of them running at 70% Speed. Other than that even the two 200mm fans in my case @ 100% speeds are louder than 7 R4s @ 70% Speeds.
    EDIT : Just checked, they are a bit louder than the two 200mms, but they make a different sound, its more of an humming sound rather than what you get from thunderblades. But I've had 3 R4s and 3 TBs at the same time, the R4s were alot more quieter than the TBs.

    I see I guess I'll sell them off then, my fan controller broke so I don't have anything to put them down to like 30-40%.

    You could always use your board headers to tone down the fans

    hmmm... thats kinda weird for me... are e8400 more hotter than ivy bridge processors... i too use an evo 212 with push[default] and pull[xtraflow] with 0 case fans [i know, i have a crappy case and slots for only 80mm fans so yeah] BUT side panel removed and here are my temps...

    CPU: E8400 @ 3.6GHz
    TIM: default CM tim.
    idle temps: 51c
    load temps [prime95]: 74-75c
    [OCCT] normal: 76-78c
    [OCCT] linpack:82-85c
    is that completely cause of the airflow of my case??

    it might be your casing..if the airflow isnt sufficient (into and out of the case) 100 cooling fans mounted to the EVO or any other cooler wont do any good...but what i know about your processor is..it's known to have faulty sensors..if you google you'll see what i mean...so that might be your problem as well
    did you get your evo from binary..they use a lot of TIM..which actually doesnt help keeping the temp down
    and if possible reapply TIM (clean and reapply) and then place cooler..make sure it just sits over the cpu correctly..not too tight not too loose (binary people tend to get the screws too tight, which may end up damaging your motherboard)

    thats actually below 40$...2800 or 2750 BDT from binary logic with the stock fan..and if you buy another fan make sure you get the Xtraflo red LED one..it spins faster and pushes more air...also dont tell binary people about this (i'm afraid they'll increase the price if they know it)
    the stock fan is also xtraflo non-LED version, which pushes ~83 cfm air, same goes for blue led one..but the red LED spins at 2200 RPM and pushes ~93 cfm air..i specifically wanted the red one for this reason
    fan price 850 tk for the xtraflo one and 650 tk for R4

    the stock fan is also xtraflo non-LED version, which pushes ~83 cfm air, same goes for blue led one..but the red LED spins at 2200 RPM and pushes ~93 cfm air..i specifically wanted the red one for this reason
    fan price 850 tk for the xtraflo one and 650 tk for R4
    Thank you very much XD

    I have the same CPU and same cooler, my room temperature is around 25 ish due to AC. so can u give me some idea about the idle temp and temp at full load? i use a dokker with two intake fans in front and bottom and two exhaust in top and rear. i am asking these coz i had a hard time mounting it and applied thermal grease more than needed.
