I need some MAJOR advice on business schools {Colleges (Universities)} in USA or AUS. Can anyone help?

So far, what I know is this.

I need a B average in my AS.

To get to the US I need good SAT scores and maybe SAT II.

And to get to Aus I need IELTS with 6.5, which I heard is WAY easier.


Are there like ANY fast ways? Like within Fall 09.

K, so. Going to the US is not all that hard, unless you're aiming Ivy. For Ivy's you need Awesome SATs and three Good SAT II's, Stellar recommendations from people from powerful/famous people known people, an existing extra-curricular plan, a personal statement that will sweep them off their feet, and of course, good IB/A Level scores. Sad to say, that's the easy part. Then, if they like you, you'll have to pass gruelling interview where you have to prove you're special/Be a sports prodigy who can shine at College Footballl/Basketball/Lacrosse, and have good recommendations and decent results/Be the son of someone famous or an Alumni, and a decent student/For Brown/Cornell, it'd even do if you're like a US Socialite who happens to be a paparazzi magnet..

My ex-teacher went to Colgate this August. He gave SAT I and II, but I think he did say that SAT II might not be required. He got 2200 in one, and 1500 something in the other. He got acceptance letters from all the Uni's he's applied for, that includes, Depauw, Bard, Colgate and a lot of others. He got full scholarship in just about all of them also. He mentioned a place where we can get all necessary information, American Centre I think, need to check.

If I go to the US, I have to aim for Ivy. =\\. If not, something close like Sten, UCLA and so on. I honestly don't know, this is so hectic. Imma have to quit gaming and ¤¤¤¤. To much pressure.

So can anyone name some more loop holes for Aussie Business schools in Sydney (ONLY Sydney).

If you're not aiming Ivy but want to get into other reputed US Colleges, you need am awesome recommendation, good results, some hint of Community Service, and proof of money. I'm talking like University of Texas, University of Michigan, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Southern California. UCLA and USC costs like a hell lot though. Since you don't have VISA problems, you shpuld be able to get into any of these. Also, look for Pre-University/Twinning Programs. THERE ARE LOTS.

Another option I would consider if were in your shoes would be to get enrolled in a Preparatory High School in the US through which getting into the Ivy League are a breeze. In fact, I would suggest this as your best option if you have relatives there who wouldn't mind housing you. Cost is of course another thing to consider.

Your easiest path would be to go to UK of course. If you wanna go there call me, I can seriously help.

Australia, I don't know much about, cept they are racist and all. If you want information/apply I'd suggest you AtoZ Study Counseling (one floor below Kozmo, Bikalpa Tower, Satmasjid Road). You'd be surprize by how much info they can provide. Plus, they have contacts and are one of the best ways to get nto foreign Unis because most of these agencies are partner organizations of the Universities abroad. So, applications sent in thorough them are harder to reject than a regular online application.

I'm beginning to worry about my uni more and more everyday. I dont know what to do, my 1st A-Levels session is this Jan, and I want to stay prepared. I hardly have any ECA, all thanks to Dhanmondi Tutorial. Some junior parliamentary debating experience and school table tennis champion (dont play anymore).

I dont know what to do, can anyone tell me who I can contact if I want to study in the US/UK/Canada. I'm also willing to go to preparatory schools. But I have no idea where to start.

Is there any intermediary body in Bangladesh via which you can apply and secure admission?

Yes there are, but I dont know about canada. I havent done much research yet. For UK there's British Council.

@blade63: dude, did you give ur A Levels? Please share what you have done so far, what you need to do.

I HAVE to do my AS and SATs, then IF I decide to go to Aus, then I will do IELTS, in which case Imma go to UNSW, or else any decent business school in the US.

I doubt you need anything, just decent grades and CASH!

For Canada you need IELTS + 2 A Levels. For going to the UK, Overseas Study Counselling Ltd. and Alpha-i Consultants are WAY better than British Council for getting you in the Uni that you want to get in.
