Two different games so how can you even expect to have a unified setting? Its not a acceleration issue, that can easily be turned off.

Just find a different sensitivity for CoD4 and stick to that.

Not quite, even if they are completely different engines they still are 3D games and uses m_yaw/m_pitch which are basically angles in the 3D dimension. For CS the default is 0.022 and your sensitivity is just the multiple of this angle in the X/Y axis. Idk what's the CVAR in COD, but it's somewhat possible for matching sensitivities if you use a consistent CPI/DPI and no EPP(6/11th notch) under Windows Sensitivity panel.

Changing m_yaw and what not is easier then changing the sensitivity? :/ Plus it might not even be legal in leagues, so just stick with adjusting sensitivities and DPIs.

Go to COntrol Panel-> Mouse and turn off enhance pointer precision. Results depend on your skill in the game. You probably won't even notice it if you are new to the game.

    A normal A4Tech 7button mouse don't have a customizable DPI/CPI, so that's not a problem.

In Counter Strike Source, default m_yaw/m_pitch is 0.022, there's a similar CVAR(Convar) or more specifically CMD for COD players for this two settings. Now I don't know what those are for COD, but chances are that they are different from CS/1.6 and that's what causing you to have a different feeling whenever you put 2.0 under the sensitivity panel as it's not going to be the same way as you feel in CS. COD veterans like @Hamilton , or @error might know this, if you can change it to "0.022" for those two values and also "cl_mouseaccel 0" that should make it a bit more like CS. Using cl_mouseaccel 0 might make things a bit sluggish since COD is a fast FPS game compared to CS.

Plus make sure you have set 6/11th under Windows>ControlPanel>Mouse>PointerOptions>PointerSpeed and EPP(Enhance Pointer Precision) ticked off. Btw noforcecommands are no longer valid for CS:Source, don't know about 1.6 though.

P.S: Some servers(PB) will reset changes like m_yaw if altered in COD, so you might have to adapt to a new sensitivity or buy a gaming mouse which has customizable sensitivity within drivers so you can fine tune it to your liking.

m_yaw/pitch is force locked to 0.022 and cl_mouseaccel too is set to 0 as default on CoD4 Promod, you can't change them since they are considered as nade scripts.

Play Promod if you're playing the normal mode now, it's not considered competitive anymore.

And try changing the resolution and aspect ratios a bit, they might help you in getting the sensitivity right or something.

Apparently, mouse acceleration increases the rate at which your mouse moves across the screen in relation to how fast you move it physically.
