"refurbished" doesnt always mean second hand. it may be repackaged or replacement items as well.

Refurbished items are mostly those that have been turned in for warranty, and have been repaired. They perform exactly the same and most of the time they come with the same warranty backing as the new ones. They don't ship to BD so purchasing those is not an option.

Refurbs look exactly like new, there won't be any scratches, they replace those parts with the new ones.
