Default My pc exceeds all the requirements but still games run too slow

    Hello everyone ,
I've spent a lot to play games properly in my new pc but still games like battle field 2/3 , GTA IV , Call of duty : Black Ops , Crysis , Payday the heist etc runs too slow even after reducing resolution and every other things to the lowest . But some other games like Batman : Arkham Asylum / Arkham City , COD : Modern warfare 1/2/3 , NFS undercover etc work really great if I lower the systems a little bit . Here goes my pc configuration ,Processor : Intel core 2 Duo 32-bit OS (3.00 GHz)
    Ram : 4 GB DDR3
GPU : XFX ATI radeon hd 5450 1GB DDR3 (Driver are up to date)
    HDD : 500 GB
    OS : Windows 7
As far as i know , my pc configuration is above the recommended requirements of the mentioned games . So , why am i still facing problems ?? Please help me out someone .. Thanks .

    That system is kind of, well, very outdated. You're likely only meeting the minimum requirements too <_<;

your pc is under min req for most of the games right now. Don't worry much. Buy a good GPU. You will be OK for 1 year.
Well only if your cpu is C2D E8xxx series ones. If not then change the whole system.

Main culprit is your GPU.Change it.Try to get atleast HD6670.If it is available 0n market.Otherwise 7xxx series will do the job.

I have been doing quite well with a c2d e7200 ,just changed the 9600gt after two years for a 550ti around this time last year,I think I am good to go for another year.In my opinion these cards serve you for two years if you are not all that gfx hungry.

You should. I think his ones is E5xxx series ones....and if it is, then you know. And I don't think he has any idea about processor model. He justifies processor by its speed. Whatever, changing his GPU is a must now.

lol,I guess you are spot on.But at any rate I agree,a gpu change for him is a must.

@metalfreak_bd bro, think of it like this, you are not actually exceeding the requirements, you are somewhat meeting the minimum requirements.Even then by a thin margin,so more power hungry games are giving you a itch.
p.s : If you are buying games from idb or local shops, don't be fooled by the requirements they print behind the packet.I have not bought games for a long time but last I checked they print same requirements for a card game and crysis or something.

WHOA :O ! ! That's a lot of replies ! ! ! This is my 1st day n my 1st thread in this forum , i didn't think people here would be such responsive .. Thanks a bunch for all of your suggestions .. I'm sorry i'm not that much of a computer guy , so i didn't know what are the things actually needed for flawless gaming .. @Sumon Datta bro , my processor is a c2d E8400 . so i guess i just have to get a good gpu as all of you are saying . but the thing is i can't afford to get a high end video card which requires a quality power supply . i can't buy them both . people are suggesting hd5670 and hd6670 . do they require a good psu or they're gonna work with my built in cheap power supply ?? in case , if i have to buy both gpu and psu , then how much they're gonna cost ?? Are there good power supplies in cheaper prices available in the market ??

Even with your E8400, be noted that you wont be able to run Battlefield 3 properly. You need minimum 4 threads to run the recent games like this.

    - - - Updated - - -

Also note that, as you are running a 32 bit OS, you are NOT utilizing the full amount of ram what you have bought.

E8400? then don't bother about changing it. Change GPU to 5670. I think that doesn't need pci connector. Buy it, you would even be good for 1 year gaming.

Okay, that should've been better phrased. The only dual from Intel that I've seen available here is the E8400.

Either way, my guess was right anyway.

You didn't exactly specify your PSU, cheap is not a good thing the PSU is another primary component for the PC.Whatever cheap PSU you have replace it before buying the GPU. You can't guarantee its survival. Also if GPU is not working enough just overclock it. Don't push it over just a slight increase will do.

Why is BF3 of importance all on a sudden :x

The processor won't cut it for almost anything new. I'd recommend saving up and going for a completely new system if you can.

The system is very outdated. I don't see why having a E8400 + 5670 will set him up for another year, he'll only be getting the same experience as he does now.

You need a major overhaul, and unfortunately that's a much bigger expense.

how many games you have played? Well, i dont know about yours but i played all the pc games released in the earth since 2006, so im talking from my experience. BF3 was just a mere example of todays multi-thread demanding games.
