I thought ps3 had really nice graphics.n also wanted a blu ray player so i've bought a ps3 slim 320gb yesterday.i've watched in utube dt ps3's gameplay was owesum.bt my prob is with its graphics.i m currently playing uncharted3 in it n its running in 720p.d graphics look gd when i keep a distance bt whn i get close to my display i notice dt d graphics is very poor.is it d settings prob or d hdmi prob naki ps3 amoni!!!!sm1 plz hlp me out.
720p on a 1080p monitor will look like ¤¤¤.

Better buy a mid budget pc and use dvi or vga not hdmi output to tv for sharp graphics.
The graphics is that, you need to play it from a distance. Its made to be played from a couch afterall

No matter how good a computer monitor is, an XBOX 360 or a PS3 will not look good on it (even through HDMI). It's just something you'll have to learn to live with. If you move to a LCD TV though, you'll see eons of difference in terms of image quality.

2600k-29.5k frm ryans computer jst ps3 costed me 30k n its nt modded.its on 4.20.so it can't b modded.i bought a uc3 steelcase edition along with it n it took 5k.it looks vry gd bt whn i get to close i notice dt its graphics quality is is nt so gd bt i still cant undrstnd dt how can it look so beautifull jst keeping a distace.seriously bro kase theke jotota kharap ak2 dure gele tototai shundor kivabe possible?????

recently ami gulshan ek frnd er onk puran 62inch tv te khelsi vga cable diye jogghono quality ashtesilo.
but last week arek frnd er brand new 55inch sony bravia HD LED tv te khellam the graphics were outstanding even in close range(he was using hdmi cable).i guess the problem is the tv maybe,im not sure.
Not really, no. Computer monitors are known to be 'too accurate' for consoles, as in, the flaws are way obvious.
Just get a TV with HDMI and you'll have none of these issues. Also yeah, what @aayman said, it's meant to be played from a couch, a bit of distance away.

But on youtube, i saw the cfw 4.20, 4.21 jailbreaking!
Simply put, consoles are supposed to be used with LED/HD TV sets and are meant to be played from a distance, the PC monitors are too accurate and thus pretty much exploits all the graphical flaws console graphics has, the youtube video itself was probably recorded on a cam demonstrating the graphics from a distance on a HD TV set, and seems consoles aren't that light on the pocket, you pretty much spent 34K yet you aren't satisfied and you'll have to spend atleast 25K more on a good TV whereas with the same budget you probably could've afford a gaming pc that wouldn't provide you pixelated graphics @1080p that's for certain!
