Slender is a new free indie spookfest based around the meme of the Slender Man.
A few pairs of underwear are recommended as a precaution to playing this game.
As cheap as the design and the graphics may look, the game however is really scary, it picks up momentum as you progress, it's really simple and it's free and legal to download. It was developed using the Unity engine.
The game takes place in a isolated forest environment, it's dark and you have to collect 8 note pages that are scattered throughout the level. Each one you collect causes the SlenderMan to get more difficult to avoid and the game gets scarier as you progressively collect each paper. Once you die, the game immediately terminates and you have to start from the beginning as there is no checkpoint system.
Staring at the SlenderMan will cause you to die.
Audio signifies that the SlenderMan is near you.
Notes appear in random, unpredictable places each time you play.
Flashlight dims the longer you use it, it's batter energy depletes.

SlenderMan was originally conceived in a thread devoted to creating fake paranormal photos on the Something Awful Forums, The Slender Man was the most convincing of the lot. A slim, elongated figure with a featureless white face and root-like protrusions, he appeared in the background of black and white photos shortly before tragedies.
