    Cool Metal Gear Solid 5

'Leaked' image ties Project Ogre to Metal Gear Solid 5

Next entry might involve 'Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavors'

An image supposedly snapped at San Diego Comic-Con appears to have linked Hideo Kojima's Project OGRE project with Metal Gear Solid 5

The unverified picture prominantly displays a logo for Metal Gear Solid 5 along with the phrase 'Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavors (OGRE)' which could be a replacement for the 'Tactical Espionage Action' tagline the series has carried thus far.
A Konami spokesperson has declined to comment.

Over the weekend Gears of War creative director Cliff Bleszinski confirmed Kojima was showing off something "secret" behind closed doors at Comic-Con.

Among the images is also the logo for 'Diamond Dogs'. The logo was first seen on a piece of new artwork of Big Boss attached to a Konami recruitement drive for "The next MGS".

Kojima has alluded to a new entry in the stealth franchise on numerous occassions, saying he'll'probably have to make Metal Gear Solid 5' eventually, confirming an 'authentic stealth MGS' will be released in the future, and discussing potential MGS5 ideas.

However, he hasn't yet officially confirmed the game is in production. Instead focusing his efforts on talking up the studio's new FOX Engine and Project Ogre.

Last year Kojima revealed that Project Ogre will be an open-world affair where players explore large environments freely.

More recently the Metal Gear creator said he intends to explore the 'concept of love, or raising a family' in the game.

Analysts at Japanese investment company Nomura Securities have said they expect the Metal Gear Solid 5 release to be during Konami's fiscal year 2014.

Metal Gear Solid 5 Comic-Con rumour debunked by Konami

You may have seen a few sketchy images of a “Metal Gear Solid 5″ logo drifting about today. Don’t piss yourself just yet: amazingly, it’s fake.

As Kotaku reports, some Redditors claimed the game was shown at Comic-Con last week, using the image as proof.

Said Konami UK on its Twitter account: Fake or real, we love a bit of speculation!”

Adding: “Seriously, just in case the ‪#pinch‬ ‪#salt‬ hashtags weren’t enough – the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch.”

If that’s as exciting as today’s going to get, we may as well all give up now.

Metal Gear Solid 5 ‘will launch Summer 2013 at the earliest’, says mo-cap actor

Metal Gear Solid 5 motion capture work is currently underway. Silent Hill 4 motion actor Eric Bossic has just finished some work on the game with Kojima Productions, but he has warned that the game is a long way from finished.

In an interview with Silent Haven, Bossic discussed his recent work with Kojima Productions, “My past motion capture session was for an upcoming Metal Gear game, I will be back with Kojima again in the fall, and maybe other sessions. This title is a long way off.”

When asked which Metal Gear project he was working on, Bossic added, “I am working on a future metal gear, not to be released until next year summer at the earliest, if not later then that. Im doing motion capture only.”

“I can 100% say my voice will not be involved in this. I dont even know what the title is, they are all very secretive and sometimes even the scenes I act out I dont even know the full story, because they want to keep it secret.2

“I suppose it is fine to mention I am working on it, everybody knows Kojima is making something now, and I posted the photo on my page here with him. The only thing is that I cant ever answer any questions about it or talk about, not for sometime.”

    Thanks Silent Haven.

Kojima Productions staffing up Los Angeles studio

Metal Gear developer looking for artists, programmers and designers for its Los Angeles-based development studio.

In February this year, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima revealed Kojima Productions was on the lookout for new development talent for the next title in the popular franchise.

What will Kojima Productions Los Angeles be working on?

At the time, Kojima Productions producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi also revealed the company was planning to open a studio in California, "if we can find the right people."

It seems the search is now out to find staffers for the Los Angeles-based Kojima Productions studio.

According to recent job listings, Kojima Production Los Angeles is looking for environment, character, and cinematic artists, as well as gameplay programmers, game level designers, and animators for its new Californian studio.
Most of the job descriptions make reference to a "3D action game", but Kojima Productions has not revealed any more details about what the Los Angeles studio will be working on.

Last month, Kojima himself unveiled the next chapter in the Metal Gear franchise, titled Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. The game will run on the new Fox engine being built by Kojima Productions, and will reportedly be an open-world title targeted at "current generation specifications."
