GPU upgrade to ATI 7850

Hello everyone,
My PC config is something like this.

Processor: CORE 2 DUO 3.00Ghz
RAM: 4GB DDR2
PSU: 450w
Current GPU: ATI 4850

I want to upgrade to 7850. My questions are -
1. Will my CPU bottleneck the GPU?
2. Is the PSU enough?
3. If I have to upgrade my PC is it really worth buying a 7850? or should I go for 7770?

What resolution do u prefer?But more or less that cpu will hold back ur gfx from rendering more frames per second.Though the amount of bottleneck will vary with ur resolution settings and game types.In higher resolution the game becomes gpu dependent,so in 1080P resolution the performance loss will not be that noticable but but there will be some.But in lower res like 720p u will see noticable performance degradation because in tht res ur cpu will have to do most of the code excutation.And a good branded psu with high amp ratting is recommended.

I think ur psu might be enough.cause 7850 is more power efficient than ur old 4850.post ur psu details

The thing is that I have a budget of 40K to upgrade the pc right now.
I can buy a good GPU now and upgrade the rest later.

OR

I can go for a 7770 and upgrade the whole pc like this -
Sapphite 7770 OC - 14500
core i3 2100 - 10000
Main board - Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H - 7800
Thermaltake Litepower/Non Modular/600W/ATX 2.3 & EPS 2.91/A-PFC/12cm/UK/Non 80PLUS - 5500
4GB DDR3 RAM - 4000
TOTAL - 41800

What do you think I should do? Should I go for the GPU or should I upgrade the whole PC?

Get the i3 2100 with h61 board. There is no need of a costly board if you have decided to go for i3 setup and 4gb ddr3 rams at 1.7k but you are considering gskill or corsair then the matter is different but normal 1.7k rams are enough . .and dont get the litepower with 7850. .try to get tt smart 550w with your gpu i hope you can buy this things at your budget

did u try to find a 6850 card... this card is better then 7770
and try to Avoid LitePower series PSU.... Try to get TT TR2 380W
u can find tr2 380W At ucc Ecs brunch..... Price 4.5K

Not enough. 450W will surely bring the 7850 to its knees.
It is really worth buying.
C2D 3.0 GHz will surely bottleneck.

c2d e8400 really bottlenecks the hell out of some games... especially cod black ops, nfs hot pursuit, most open world games like assassin's creed, arkham city etc.... though max payne performed very well. i use a c2d e8400 with a msi 560ti. i still haven't seen the card perform the way its supposed to due to my freakin' processor.

Better do ur buying now - once the govt starts to tap into foreign exchange reserve to fund Padma Bridge - prices will flyyyy! There may not be much of an economy left per se.

Go for gpu and psu upgrade. And oc ur cpu max or buy a 2nd hand quad core for sometime.

Overclocking c2duo is not a wise decision and also this cant avoid bottleneck.so better you buy i3 2100 with h61 and a psu and 7850

@head shot : 7850 + psu will cost more than 30k. so not much room for me to buy a i3 and a main board within budget. I really want a i5 2500k and a main board with 4 RAM slots without crossfire. So, I am thinking just gpu + psu for now.

@Gtx660 : thanks for you idea. I am not a big fan of overclocking. I had blue screen problem with my xfx 4850 after my warranty period. I actually solved the problem by under clocking it from stock 625MHz to 500MHz. I can still play max payne 3 at 1080p in low settings!! Why should I give the machine so much load just for 3-4 fps boost?

and

why 650W :O :O :O Why so Over kill....
Why dont u get Smart 550W..... ????? 550W is really Good Enough For 7850..........
