Default Nvidia Geforce 9500gt is not working

i m suffering with my xfx nvidia geforce 9500gt. 3 days ago the problem started. when i tried to turn on my pc its starting for a couple of seconds then automatically shuts down...then opened my casing and tried to turn on the pc again i saw both of my fans tried to spin. but after couple of seconds it stopped. after that i unplugged my graphics card and connect my vga cable to mother board's default port. i switched on my pc and it started. don't know what happened to my 9500gt. i had also made changes in my bios settings. nothing happened. now using my pc without my graphics card ...cant play any games though...

was my graphics card damaged ...?? any help would be appreciated...
also planning to buy GTX 560ti
