    Default Dvd drive problem

I have this samsung dvd rw which was bought two years ago and it was working just fine.I used it occasionally to write some discs and install games a few times a month.I also watch movies by copying data to hard disc to avoid putting extra pressure on dvd rw.

Now for the last five or so months I simply didn't use the dvd rw.No writing or Copying data. Now two days back I was trying to burn a few discs.Disc writing process did start normally every time but when writing process reached ninety nine percent an error message showed up saying "disc burning failed".

So I checked the discs that I burned and I was surprised to see that parts of the data that were written on the discs were okl and could be copied to hard disc but the rest of the data could not be copied to hard disc.Either it would hang or show cyclic redundancy error.

So wondering what happened to my dvd rw.Seems like it didn't take the break very well.Used a dvd drive cleaner but still not sure whether
the drive needs repair or the dvd rw drive is dying.
