Default Help needed for Buying 1st ever DSLR :D

    Hello brothers.

Its a pleasure that I have finally achieved an opportunity to buy a DSLR camera due to some upcoming family festivity. Though I have researched a lot in the internet to find out the best budget camera, still confusion is wrapping me up.

So, here is the list of cameras I have in mind.

    1. Nikon D3100 - ~47k with lens
    2. Nikon D3200 - ~64k with lens
    3. Can on EOS 550D - ~54k with lens
    4. Nikon D5100 - ~62k with lens

I'll use the camera for shooting still pictures only. Movie is not even a concern. Which of these camera will produce best possible image(in terms of quality) with the kit lens?
I'll also need some sort of carrying bag & memory card , about which I have no idea.
I'll also need shop name, from where I can get the genuine product.

D5100, eyes closed. The D3200 is somewhat a fail, specially in accordance with it's price. You can get the 550D too, which will allow you to get cheaper lenses, but Canon ergonomics are farking awkward, and you won't get the outstanding output from D7000 sensor in the D5100 if you go for a 550D.

The D5100 costs 57k at Camera Zone, my friend got one a couple of days back, but since it's somewhat hand carried from abroad, you will get the box, but might not be intact, no don't worry, the camera's absolutely brand new. If you want an intact box though, you can get it from Fotoblaze, which'll cost you 65k. I got my camera from Camera Zone too, so i know, they're really good

Hmm just checked camera zone's bdstall.com stall listing. Do they provide any kind of warranty? D5100 is currently 62k in fotoblaze & they claim to provide genuine warranty(not service warranty :/)

You won't actually need warranty you know, but yes, Camera Zone does not officially provide warranty, but if you really have any issues with the camera, they'll replace it if the camera can't be fixed, ~4-5k er ee to bepar, if you want you can go for fotoblaze.

hmm if luck helps, then cameras do last very long time. I bought a canon ixus back in 2005 & it is still going on fine. Most probably I'll go to buy it tomorrow. May Allah help me & my luck. & thanks for the suggestion bro.

Yes, u can go for 5100.
And as error mentioned, u dont wont need warranty.
U can rely on Camera Zone. I have been buying all my camera accessories from there.
And aim for an external flash.

    Just to let you know guys,I ended up buying a D3100+18-55mm VR+ 50mm 1.8D prime(manual focusing)+16GB cls 10 SDHC card.

This thing is a wonder. Things I imagined about DSLRs are nowhere near to the actual thing. Especially the prime lense. It is beyond magnificent. ( My words may sound weird, because I am too much happy with the photos i am taking lol )

That was just a huge mistake. Manual focusing is good when you're taking random pictures of random things, but really bad for quick portraits perhaps at a wedding or some occasion, you just won't be able to perfect it when the subjects are always moving.

That ain't happening anytime soon, even pro photographers use auto focus for such occasions, you will rarely, heck no, ever, get those crisp portraits in events which you'll get from an auto focus lens. Mind it, i'm not talking about random photography, i'm talking about portraits. Bad bad decision. :/ Anyway, your camera, your wish.
