According to his personal Facebook timeline, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg hit The Life Trifecta by marrying his longa-time sweetheart Priscilla Chan on Saturday, May 19, 2012. (Books open now if a child shall be forthcoming within the year.)
The event was initially only confirmed only by the company he took public Friday, though that did not stop tens of thousands of people from sending their best wishes and "liking" his event and status update within 15 minutes of it being posted. .
The posting states simply that Zuckerberg married Priscilla Chan "today," with a photo of the couple in a green arbour hung with fairy lights. He is wearing a dark blue suit, white shirt and blue tie, she a strapless white gown with lace overlay and white veil with floral appliques.
The event was posted just after 9:12 p.m. EST. Fifteen minutes later, 90,147 people had “liked” it.
A guest at the wedding told The Associated Press, on condition of anonymity, it was a small affair with fewer than 100 guests held at Zuckerberg's Palo Alto, Calif. home.
The pair had a busy week: Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history Friday. Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28, the source said.
The couple had been dating for nine years since meeting at Harvard University.
