You can't sell processors stating they're 'OCed', that's blatant fraud.

Bro, few days ago when I advertised my Q8200 @ 7600 taka on the facebook group, some guys even warned me that I would never be able to sell my processor at that price. But the funny part is, I exchanged my Q8200 with an i5 750 (Quad core and it still has 2 years warranty) for only 1700 taka. The guy is a computer engineer, so you guys must admit that he is not a noob. I also exchanged my 500 GB HDD with his intel H55 mobo. So, I hope, you'll be able to sell it but I think you should ignore it's been OCed.

BTW, does the cooler support socket 1156? If yes then I may buy it.

No, the cooler is only compatible with LGA775, and it costs Tk.450 at ECS Multiplan Center.

PS: Not to ruin a sale, but just to help a buyer.

Not to forget this is a Conroe @65nm. the q8200 more energy efficient than this

And i think you can get a AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition for 12k now a days. not to mention a first gen core i3 will be around 9k. even less.

The last market price for this was around 9k if I am not wrong

u are talking about power consumption then amd phenom II x4 965 just draws 125-140watt(if u overclock then it may blow u psu )and obviously the heat issue... whereas quad q6600 draws hardly 105watt(don't know others but mine keeps very cool even after overclocking...38-40c normal working temp and at full load it is around 50c) http://techgage.com/article/quick-gage_amds_125w_phenom_ii_x4_965_black_edition/

by the way i think i have asked a fair price coz just a month back when i posted the add in clickbd for 13,000tk then some people called me to sell that for 12,000tk.but then i was a bit short of money for buying a processor+mobo.and recently a person in fb told me that he has bought q6600 with stock cooler for 9,000tk.so i think the price is not too much as you are thinking.

Don't mind am telling this because for your own sake. Your asking price is actually high. If you ask BTW 7K-7.5 then it would be nice. And if you're in hustle then go for 6.5k. It will create more possibility in getting buyers.

Your processor has no warranty which you have to keep in mind. Plus you aren't providing any free cooler with the processor. Rather asking extra 500 tk for another cooler. Which means you're actually asking 9k for the processor.

You have given an example as a reason of asking high price so am going to also give some examples so that you realize the current situation.

    - I sold Q9400 @ 8.5k (much more better than q6600 in performance, temp, architecture etc. Plus not to mention this one had warranty about 2 years & sold quite a few months back)

    - I sold Phenom X4 955 BE @7k (again here it beats q6600, my one had about 2 years warranty, yeah TDP is downward of it still not that much of gap BTW q6600)

    - AFAIR one other BG member sold his q8200 few days back @ about 7k. That one didn't had any warranty.

Last but not least there is new low priced Core I3 2100 on the market which easily beats q6600 in price performance ratio.

Yeah you still may keep the asking price 8.5k. But chances of getting buyer is low also you may have to wait longer.

I hope you got the point what I was trying to say. Now it's up to you to decide whether to lower the price or not.

Anyway best of luck for your selling .
