Thread: Minimum PC Hardware requirement for Graphics related work

Default Minimum PC Hardware requirement for Graphics related work

    Hey guys,

Please do me a favor by sharing your views and suggestions on the following:

    1. Minimum hardware requirement for a desktop PC for regular use of Photoshop/Illustrator (basic graphics related work other than flash and animation content)

    2. Minimum hardware requirement for a desktop PC for Animation, Video editing/rendering, Flash content (advance graphics related work)

    3. Is it true that the on-board graphics memory on the 7th gen Intel processors (i5 and i7) are sufficient for basic graphics related work and would serve the purpose without any hiccups? My boss shared this link with me to prove his point.

    4. Is a 6th gen or 7th gen laptop with on-board graphics good enough for basic graphics work? If yes, what are the best options available in the market? (Please dont mention pricy laptops, something within 40K max)

    5. Please share links along with your suggestion since this is for office purpose and I would need to present the outcome to my boss. If you have anything better to suggest other than Intel (I am not up to dated with the Ryzen news so enlighten me if AMD provides better alternatives for my tasks)

    Thank you in advance.

(1)the best gpu for overall workable gpu should be gtx 1060 , 1050 will do the job too but 1060 has shown the same or equal photoshop/illustrator results on benchmarks.(2) and (3) i have my doubts on intel igpus those are somewhat faster or equal to gtx 1030 so it might be clickbait rather than showing the actual performance results you can't just buy people's trust by talking classic marketing baiting but as you were saying adobe and regular working then is that based on 2D work or 3D? if you work on 2D work on daily basis the performance won't have any significant differences with the external gpu but in 3D there is a vague performance difference . (4)depends on what type of work you wants to do mostly laptops are not suitable for work imo (5)adobe mostly based on single clock performance and in that department intel is faster but if you work on 4-5 threads at once ryzen extra cores will come handy

    1. For Photoshop related works Pentium G4560 is more than enough. Plus Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator works better with faster frequency CPU.
    2. For any type of video rendering works get at least i5. You need faster outcome for your Office related works, don't you?
    3. You won't need additional GPU for Photoshop, Intel's GPU will do the job, but Nvidia's GPU will faster your Rendering work in Premier Pro
    4. Under 50K laptop, you won't get any good Processor for Video Editing works, since they come with Dual Core i3/i5/i7. But for basic works like Photoshop, it can handle easily. If its photoshop, then get any ASUS,ACER,LENOVO laptop with Full HD display.

    * Get an IPS monitor for Photoshop, get that cheapest IPS Full HD monitor.
    * An i5 will cut half the time of rendering in Premier Pro than that Pentium or any i3
    * A good Nvidia GPU will significally improve the rendering time on Premier, but it still depends on what types of work.
    * Laptop with Quad Core i5 is cost around 55K from Acer that I bought for my brother after searched through the whole IDB market.

    # Get an i5 with 8GB ram, later upgrade the GPU, since your budget is limited
    # Make sure you show this video to your Boss, since he/she is kinda Noob for searching laptop mag website(a shitty site)
