    Default Headphone around $35

Whats the best headphone I can get for around $35?
Purpose: Mostly listening to music or watching movies and occasional gaming.
The headphone must be: Comfortable. That's basically the reason I'm switching from my A4tech HS100 which really hurts my ears.
And there must be a mic for voice chatting.

Panasonic HTF 600S I ordered mine a few days back. Will receive it on the 22nd. For voice chatting get a zalman clip on mic.

What exactly is the specialty of a gaming headset? My sister was thinking of getting a Razer Electra from Canada.
    http://www.amazon.ca/Razer-RZ04-00700100-R3U1-Electra-Essential-Headset/dp/B005HMCCNE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336826586&sr=8-1
The reviews tend to say its pretty good. (Plus its kinda funky looking ) Should she spend some extra cash on it or are there better ones at the same price?

Whatever you do stay away from gaming headsets. All gaming headsets are crap. When they advertise surround sound and other gimmicks they are just ripping you off. Better get Studio headphones made by professional audio companies. They are not geared towards gamers but at the same price they offer much better audio quality. Take a look here

For voice chatting use a clipon or desktop mic.

HTF 600 is bass heavy, if you want something neutral try the koss DJ100, it goes for around 50USD and is also built like a tank. Htf 600 is awesome nonetheless

I tried out the XB300 couple of days ago, its tons of fun and extremely light weight. I did not test it for long, it was in a store but I can see myself enjoying action movies a lot more than I do now

I'm having a really hard time finding the HTF600 anywhere in Canada. It wasnt in bestbuy.ca or newegg.ca The only one I found in amazon.ca is quite overpriced.
    http://www.amazon.ca/Panasonic-RP-HTF600-S-Stereo-Headphones/dp/B004MMEI8W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336888673&sr=8-1
Its 47CAD compared to $30 in USA. USD and CAD are pretty much the same now.
Could someone please find another link or suggest another headphone?

Why the hell is everything so expensive in canada? Even the Xb300 is 48 bucks in canada and 36 in USA.
    Any suggestions please?

I'm really not getting anywhere with this. The only ones among those that @ramiz suggested that are in my budget are the senn hd201 and JVC RX500. Gonna read some reviews on them. Could you suggest some superfluxes too?

    2 really noob questions:
    1) I don't have a sound card. Will these provide decent quality sound with my in-built realtek?
    2) Can I use any of these headphones with a cellphone such as nokia 5230 or samsung galaxy y?

Yes. A sound card probably will improve the sound but the built-in realtek should be fine.
Yes most of these have a low resistance(impedance?). For the Senn201 U might need to listen at high volumes when using a phone as source.
BTW most of the headphones I mentioned were under $35 the last time I checked.

    Brainwavz M1

So far: (after 10 hours of burning)

    ~ Mid - Very good
    ~ High - Decent
~ Bass - Very good as of my taste. Need Equalization for more extended bass (if u r a base head, u will be disappointed). But low-mid is very good
~ Sound-stage - Vocal seems to sing right in front of ur nose
~ Found it better listening to heavy metal/rock music. Hip-hop, rap wont sound good
    ~ Semi noise isolating
~ I havent yet tested with any game

What about ur HTF 600S @ramiz
    How is it?

@aerofighter thanks for the review. I just received the HTF600 today. have only listened to it for only 2 hours. have to burn these and try it out with a variety of music, games and movies. So far it's amazing. They really make hiphop, R&B, pop etc sound amazing but I'm more of a Metal/Hard rock fan and am currently listening to Tornado Of Souls with these and one word - AMAZING.
