Question Keyboard Buying Help: Cheap Mechanical vs Expensive Membrane?

    Hi Guys,

Need some help here! I have browsed quite a few articles on this topic but it didn't sum up quite well.

So, I am torn between two choices:

Option 1: Corsair Gaming K55 RGB Keyboard (Membrane)

    Option 2:
    Redragon K556 RGB (Mechanical)

I never used mecha keyboard so, if the budget remains same for mecha and membrane, should I opt for a mecha board from this relatively new company or get an expensive membrane keyboard from a reputable company like corsair?

I just wanted your valued opinion on choosing between these two only> as I am kinda sorta gaming enthusiast playing AAA games mainly.

    Thanks a bunch!

In my opinion there is no point is spending 50 bucks on a membrane kb. There are quite a few good budget mech options in this range. Just look around a bit in reddit/geekhack and you'll find something u like.

i personally love to use membrane keyboards specially the one which comes with notebooks . it has a soft feelings and it feels nice when i type stuffs but i am not saying by any means membrane is superior over mechanical but here is the fact , red dragon is a mere chinese brand like any other chinese brands no matter how much potential they shows it won't be as same as the expensive ones . if you made up your mind then i won't budge you but i personally think buying the cheapest even cherry mx brown keyboards are better than buying chinese mecha keyboards rather it is better to have a good quality membrane keyboard

It's easy to buy a mechanical keyboard over Membrane or Memchanical. But before you buy one, check it's build quality, ambient noise from clicks, find reviews that assures you that it'll last long and well enough. Chinese keyboards could have defects at any given moments, unless you buy it with a warranty I'd suggest extra precautions.
