You can try Electronics Museum, they charge around tk3500. Dont think they use the X-Clamp fix, probably the normal thermal paste fix. How long did you keep the 360 running before getting the RRoD? and which model do you have?

hmmm I think I have the old one, but it hasnt RRoD on me yet. Do you know about any 3rd party heat sinks which I can install? I just know about USB cooling fans, but I want something better

40K it has HDMI port. they call it X360 Advance :/
anyways its far better than my old box

@ aayman you're one lucky dude. still no RROD ?
i have one USB cooler. but i would suggest not to use these kinds of cooler. buy a speed fan (you know those table fans but runs very very very fast). if possible open up the top cover of xbox 360 as it will take tons of heat away. and speed fan is the perfect solution. if you want to play risk free for 6 to 8 hours.

i could have bought PS 3 which is priced 35K. but no mod chip and the fact is no games. when i saw Gears of War 2 and Farcry 2 and Dead Space on the shelve i couldnt wait and went for the 360.

this is my 2nd Xbox 360. hope this will give me a one good year.

the only game i wanted to play on ps3 was Metal Gear Solid 4. its worth the 5000 bucks i admit. but thats about it.
and 360 games are cheap ! 300 bucks each xD

Ya somebody else also suggested the fan solution, but I'm scared of dust collecting. Besides, I'll never play 6-8 hours straight, not bcz of fear, bcz I wont have the time.

Oh and USB fans actually do more damage than good. It requires the 360 to work harder, so it generates more heat and you know what that means. Hey I have an Iphone charger, do you think if i connect the USB coolers to those it will work? :S

lol come on thats just wrong. 10 minutes? you've got to be kidding me. I play 2 hours per session, and sometimes 3 times a day. Still running just fine. I keep the area clear and just keep the fan running, nothing more. I always check my 360's heat after I turn it off, and everytime it felt normal.

3 red lights shows a power failure in the 360. Whether it has overheated and melted the solder or something's wrong with the x-clamp, as long as there's a power failure in any component of the 360, it's supposed to show 3 red lights.
