    Default Urgent UPS query

    Hello Gamers,

I am thinking of buying luminous 1000va UPS tomorrow. The official site shows that i can get 80 minutes backup with a 19" lcd monitor but I have some doubts that my power supply can lessen that time. My pc configuration is -

    RAM- 4gb ddr3

    Processor- core i5 2400

    Graphics- xfx HD 4830

    Power supply- Thermaltake Litepower 500w

    Monitor- 19" Samsung lcd monitor

Can I get at least 65 minutes of backup from this UPS. Please reply soon. Its URGENT

The HDDs won't eat anything, barely 6~w each. The GPU and the CPU would be the biggest issues.

UPS is not designed that way, if you are constantly loading it up beyond it's capacity the batteries will fail some point in time. If you want to game during power cuts, look into an IPS/Generator.

ups is build so that people can just shutdown the pc within 5 minutes. if you daily use that backup time then it will take only 3-4months for the battery to die.
