Thread: WIMAX in iPad 3 (The new iPad)

Question WIMAX in iPad 3 (The new iPad)

Hello all. I may be asking a very stupid question and the techies here may want to strangle me - so please forgive my illiteracy in this matter.

I was wondering, since the new iPad is 4G LTE compatible, will any of the Wimax technologies work with it? Is there a SIM Card inside the USB modem which can be used in the iPad 3 SIM Slot? Any feedback regarding this will be truly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don't think so unless our WiMAX companies implement it.

No and no. What the iPad integrates is LTE, what you see in BD is a variation of 802.x, which one I forgot.

LTE and WiMax are both contenders for 4G, but they're not the same.
