Default what is the difference between righ hand rule and left hand rulle for electric current

actually what is the difference between righ hand rule and left hand rule for electric current? for hall effect, u know, from a video, it showed that for positive ions (like holes) u should use the right hand, and for negative ions like electrons, u should use the left hand rule, but the thing is that, they remains pretty same(i mean the movement of electrons due to perpendicularly applied magnetic filed), can anyone pls help me out? maybe i am wrong or am not being able to use my hand according to the directions,
