Default Cooler Master HTK-002 thermal compound

    Hello there...

I am recently planning to bring "Cooler Master HTK-002 thermal compound". My friend found it cheap in Malaysia. Is this compound any good? Point should be noted that I am not an OCer. That thermal compound will be used with Stock clocked CPU and a nearly dead GPU.

Thanks for keeping interest in this post!

Cuz My CPU temp is rising like the living-deads day by day.

Just before a year ago I RMAed my mobo and then the stupid shopkeeper placed the CPU with the new mobo without any kind of thermal contact! After figuring out that, I bought a 100taka TIM tube and applied it. This TIM is good, but not that so good for this summer. Now I am getting 78C max while gaming and it will increase more and more AFAIK

and about the GPU.... I owe a nearly dead 8400GS. It has 70C minimum temp . Never used to know the max cuz the PC stops responding or restarts while putting load on the GPU. I tried to run it by placing a spinning 80mm fan adjacent to it and the result was good. The temps were staying around 45-55C. So why not try some cheap TIM? You can name it "A Project".

Thanks for your complements. But please give me an idea about the quality of this Cooler Master HTK-002. Will it be good enough? I somewhere read that conductive TIMs are not recommended for GPU and I am not getting idea whether it is conductive or not. Plz suggest me about the quality and conductivity.

R bro paper tar scan/captured image holeo hobe.

Seems like no one has idea about this TIM.. How unlucky I am

Sorry bro, i've little idea about this TIM, but if it's white and ceremic based, it's suitable for your GPU. It has less conductivity. And it'll not be like AS but as u don't OC it'll perform good. Remember to clean heatsink surface by Isopropyl based cleaner. othewise u won't get desired performance. Ask your friend if he can get these. Ar paper ta ki akhane post kore dibo, naki mail kore dibo? Pm me ur e-mail address.

This thing is silicon based. I'm afraid that it wont suit the GPU. I will better look for MX-4. I wonder where the BG TIM experts are now!

I use hexisol which has 70% W/W Isopropyl and hope that it will do the job.

    Regards

***Its dielectric, but not so effective. Just fine as replacement for the stock TIMs.

I don't know much details about this particular paste but no matter how good the TIM is, the performance won't be that much significant if you're intending to use it under stock HS. With a little bit of caution, almost every types of TIM can be used on chips like GPU. If the paste is conductive type just use a single drop of TIM on the chip so that it won't overflow when pressed by HS. For high viscous pastes, apply paste on the chip first and then spread it neatly.

It will be pleasure. Ami confirmed hole apnake PM diye debo. But delivering it to you would be a problem as I dont live in Dhaka anymore. you may have to come Md.pur or Rampura. And about the price ... MX-4 is around 38RM. The Cooler master is only 12RM there !

Get the MX-4, you won't be disappointed. Or better yet, try the Phobya HeGrease Extreme if you want the best performance and is just a below the Indigo Xtreme.

The first one is a TIM while the latter is also a TIM but it's more like a metal cap over your IHS and very expensive. The Phobya is excellent btw and costs similar to that of MX-4.
