Default Mouse & KB discussion thread!

I have a huge interest on input devices, especially mice and I thought I'd find some fellow enthusiasts right here on BG.

Seeing no threads about a general M&KB discussion prompted me to open this one. I sincerely apologise if there were past threads like this.

Currently I'm using a Logitech g403 and a very shitty havit kb. Also have a Mionix Naos 7000 and a trusty old (gutted) Bloody v3.

I was just looking at some mech kbs available rn in Bangladesh and the offerings from Delux and Rapoo caught my eyes. Anyone have any experience with them? Or the G.Skill kbs? I'm pretty much illiterate on mechs so I'd love some feedback!

Delux KM05 mech kb is pretty good.
Delux Gaming Titan mech kb is pretty bad.
MSI DS B1 mouse is better than it looks.

used the gskill keyboard for couple of days and it felt really good, the blue switches might not available but brown and red is available if I am not wrong, the red switches feels kinda like general membrane keyboards though as the pressing sound is very low compared to other cherry blue or brown switches but it has RGB and you can customize the styles

Well, I wasn't specifically looking for a mech, just wanted to start a discussion.

Anyway, anybody used kailh/gateron/outemu switches? How do they compare against cherry? My alltime favourite kb has to be the logitech g710 blue. Unfortunately it's not really available now.

Cherry is good but not good enough for huge cost premium. Some people swear that Gaterons are better than Cherry because Cherry switch housing plastic had rough surface while Gateron had more smoother.
While Cherry is the standard for premium switches, Outemu is for cheap switches. Not bad but not excellent either.
Gaterons are a little lighter meaning needs less pressure for actuation vs Cherry classics. While Outemus need a little more. e.g. 45g vs 50g vs 60g etc.
I say classics because there are loads of new switches now. Red, Blue, Brown and Black are classics but there are many other switches like white, clear, yellow, green etc. with differing specs.
I won't talk about Kalih/Kaihua cause people say that they still suck.
Buy a switch board and test which switch you want.

For mouse, I think Logitech G102 is best in BD market atm. Last I checked it's ৳2500. Very good shape, same as G Pro. Cable is also quite excellent I hear and the best thing about Logitech mice are their goddamn awesome sensors they source. For mice review watch Rocket Jump Ninja youtube channel and search tesxt reviews in google with "site:overclock.net" without the quotes.

So, I found out today Unicomp still makes buckling spring keyboards, thanks to @Sumit Pramanik

If they are still available, Cherry and others are irrelevant.

I don't any kind of keyboards as long as they are clicky and have good layout.

Clicky as in mech switch clicky or "mem-chanical" clicky. Had a tt commander combo, didn't really love it.

@Sybaris Caesar , monoprice select series is on sale right now at monoprice's own site. Was thinking about bringing the blue one.

Eh. Buckling springs are nothing special. My designated PC in NDC lab had one of those. People love them for nostalgia I guess.

Warning about Monoprice select : you either get a Gateron switch or an Outemu one. They don't tell. It's a lottery. Like I said both are good, but Gaterons a little better.

My point still stands. Cherry switches are an advancement to "original" mech switches. That's why every other mech switches that popped up either Gateron, Outemu, Kalih copied Cherry design after Cherry's 25 year patent ended.

Looks really interesting. I don't like the font though.

This Rapoo V510 for 3.7k is also quite interesting, don't know what switches it uses though.
