Default Converting 2D monitor into 3D - Possible??

i don't have a 3D tv or monitor. was just surfing the net randomly and got to know that there are NVidia 3D vision glasses available in BD which come with a software to convert 2d/normal movies to 3D and gives a more or less 3D viewing experience. the package includes a pair of glasses and the software.

they claim that not only movies, the software works with games (selected gamed like - COD, AC etc.) too. the ad in clickbd claims that this thing works on 2D monitors/TVs. can somebody please verify.

did any body heard of any technology like it? i googled it and found it in NVidia's website. but it is not clear there if i need a 3D monitor/TV to utilize it or can i use it on my normal PC/laptop.

3d vision glasses wont work on normal monitors.... u need 120hz monitor...
but u can watch using 3d vision discover glasses.. which are cheap red-cyan glasses...
latest power dvd can convert 2d movies into 3d.... and they work.. and nvidia cards (those are capable) can convert games into red-cyan 3d mode.... and u can use any monitor u want..
the problem is poor color quality... and headache...
for true 3d experience u will need nvidia 3d vision kit, nvidia 3d vision compatible cards,, and a 3d monitor or 3d tv...

hmmmm.... i am using these glasses now. yes horrible experience. but at least you will get a perception of depth in the games. like i am playing COD4MW now. the colors got so reduced that it's almost black and white.

my point is, something is better than nothing. i will not be able to afford a 3d monitor in next 5 years, so it's the best i have right now.
