Rubbers domes are ¤¤¤¤, trust me. I had a Arctosa, Lycosa, bunch of A4Tech KBs, and I'm certain that even the cheapest mechanical kb won't be like using mashed potato switches as
with the rubber domes.
If you are a hardcore typist then Cherry MX Browns is what you are after, very light, not so loud, good tactile feedback yet not that stiff. For gaming, Cherry MX Blacks/Reds are considered the best, they have a great feedback, but are very loud, the Blacks are very stiff and will require some force compared to your traditional KB, while the Reds are a bit lighter than the blacks and is both good for typing/gaming.
Double tapping/repeated key press which are the main gaming requirements are best done on the Blacks as they provide a very good feel. The best part is the press(actuation)/release is done at the same time which is very beneficial when gaming FPSes like Counter Strike Source. Cherry MX Blues are considered the typists heaven, they require very less force and is similar to an average keyboard so it won't strain your fingers(much) compared to the others, and the Razer Mech KBs are Cherry MX Blues.
Last but not least, Cherry Browns are the most balanced switches of them all, they are considered the middle ground between a gaming/typing KB. It's very light, yet performs very similar to a Black/Red and is smooth and not so loud comparatively.
@
emroz_2272 , for you I would recommend the 6GV2, it costs around $90 but it's built to last and as they say like a tank and it's true. I used both the 6GV2/7G, these things can kill, IIRC the 7G is around ~1.5Kg. My G1 is great, but you won't really like the cable, it's too fat and doesn't bend which is a good and a bad thing. Won't break easily, and will mess up your wire management.
...and for the giggles:
Enjoy.
