Default About getting a Play Station 3

First of all don't mind about my n00b questions. Need some suggestion about getting an original 160GB Play Station 3 from USA.

    1. How about this PS3 in Amazon.com? Is it good enough?
    2. Amar ki kono dhoroner power converter lagbe PS3 chalate? Lagle oitar price kemon porbe?
    3. Pirated game khelar jonne probably software lagbe. BG er kon thread ta useful for that purpose?
    4. PS3 er disc buying location ei thread e bola ache dekhlam, plus 200tk per PS3 game?

And please frankly mention if I need to know anything more about getting this. Thanks in advance.

    1. If u r getting a PS3 with firmwire more than OFW 3.55. then getting it to CFW 3.55 would be risky last time i checked.
    2. No.
    3. CFW 3.55. None i presume, YouTube and PS3Hax maybe.

Thanks for the answers. But i didn't understand the 1st answer. Please remember I am totally n00b about this matter.
Got some idea about CFW from Wiki, but no idea about OFW! How do I know which PS3 has more than OFW 3.55 or not, specially the Amazon link I gave?

Actually someone can buy me a PS3 but only from USA.

It is pretty simple that Sony will encourage and thus provide the latest OFW (Official Firmwire) with their PS3s
So u can rest assure that any new retail PS3 u buy from abroad is gonna be equipped with latest OFW
I'll again suggest that u get it from bd if u wanna play backup games

if ur old enough and have credit cards..best get one form bangladesh for cheap and buy the games through SEN cuz some games can be cheap while you get the newest games avaliable..cuz alot of the old games are now cheaper then 10$=80(assumtion)*10=800.. they can be 800 or below.. while alot of other games alot cheaper cuz sometimes the currency rate goes below 78.

but if u go for 3.55,ull get alot of games at gamer paradise for cheaper then 100 if u buy alot of them together but the game options are old and newer cooler games can't be played

That's right. Get it from BD if you don't plan on buying original games. I think there are ways to get PS3 with a firmware version of 3.55 from the US, but you need to do a little bit of search. However, if you want to play online, you need original game disc and the cheapest game cost well over 1k.

I don't have luxury of money to buy original games.

Whatever you do, don't buy the latest firmware versions, a friend of mine did and his PS3 now has to wait 3 more months.

Is it possible to downgrade OFW 3.6 to OFW 3.55 and then installing CFW 3.55?

it actually says how to upgrade to 3.55 and then install the cfw. If you want to play pirated game, then you should consider xbox. As there is no hack for ps till now.

And how is that going to save him from the next firmware? For all we know, all the new PS3 slims have the new firmware.

just a little latest hardware preview on upcoming PS4...

While we've heard rumours about the CPU before - with Sony abandoning Cell for AMD - news of the AMD GPU is interesting. The 7000 series part is also a generation ahead of the rumoured 6000 part said to form the heart of the next Xbox. A generation gap doesn't necessarily mean a huge increase in performance, however, with a low end 7000 part likely to pail in comparison to a higher end 6000 part.
Kotaku says that the Orbis will support game resolutions of up to 4096x2160, whilst 3D in full 1080p is also supported.

    http://www.videogamer.com/news/ps4_to_feature_newer_graphics_card_than_next_xbox.html

getting a ps3 now......................total waste since u can use it for roughly 1 year
i have my PS3 for like 4 years now....only buy Xclusive games and games with good ONLINE features.......so i had enough juice out of my PS3 and i never support modding a PS3...there's Xbox 360 for it and there ar handful of PS3 xclusives uncharted sereis, god of war,MGS4,GT5,killzone sereis,Resistance series,Motorstorm series...these r some popular best sellers...and price of almost all these titles have got down since they have got old now...can be had in AMAZON for 20-30 dollars or even LESS which is not a big deal.....

    PS3......KEEP IT REAL
Xbox360........do whatever u want to do with it
