Thread: Can anyone help me on purchasing from Ebay or Amazon?

  1. #1

Question Can anyone help me on purchasing from Ebay or Amazon?

Hi guys, I would like to buy some stuff from ebay or amazon. But don't know if it is possible to buy from BD and about the complexity in customs departments hassle/dealings. I've a moneybookers account and got enough buks to buy those items. Is there anyone who already bought from Ebay or Amazon from here in BD. Please help me. If you can do it with master card then is it possible to buy those on behalf of me? Please help me??? I know this is the place where BD gamers are ready to help each other. Thanks in advance.

So far I know you can see the shipping cost with the product cost. But I need to know can anyone already bought anything from BD?

Fuad aka Shah hossain vhi is reliable...
People should stop blaming games for allegedly *copying* each other: "oh this game is Skyrim copy", "this game is WoW knock off", "this game is just another DMC" - enough!

On this rate every 3rd person action will be God of War, every 3rd p shooter Gears, every 1st will be CoD.. it's ridiculous. They are called genres people! And if you look carefully you'll see allot more than mimicry out there.

I have bought things from amazon.com before. Once some supplements costing around 135$ came through DHL custom charge was around 2200 tk. Then Again bought three books from Amazon.com total cost of shipping and books price was 78$. Custom Charge was around 3500 tk. So I think the custom charge mainly depends on the mood of the officer present at that time.

Fuad Bhai is very reliable. I have already bought several items through him from amazon.
From UK, he takes less than 15 days and from USA it takes 15 days to 1 month.

Talking about the dollar and pound rate.
He takes approximately 20% more. One can consider this as the carrying/bringing/service charge. (Though shipping charge is different, it is calculated and then added to the total price). As he is doing the business, its his profit.
Talking about the customs charge. Thats also given in the document section.

I am calculating if 1 pound is equal to 128-129tk and he is taking around 160tk. for 1 pound it is approximately 35tk. profit per pound he is gaining. So if anyone buying a product of 300 pound his profit is 10500tk. just from exchange. Beside we all know amazon.com or e-bay has their own debit card if he purchases through that he will get discount on each product. WOOOW!!

If I totally exclude the shipping cost per kg or gm still he can earn a lot from giving this facility to us

a profitable sector i guess. Nothing personal or even I am not blaming. Actually who have no options or no related knowledge about how to purchase from those online shop he will not mind giving some extra. It's pure business if I am not wrong.

You maybe right but we do not consider the shipping charge+ custom charge. I visited his Facebook group and i am sure If I buy something from amazon.com on my own the total cost of the product+ shipping charge+ custom charge will be similar to the price he is charging. He probably has some connection in the customs as he gets product on some specific days so the custom charge he is not paying is probably his profit.

It won't be anywhere close, take it from someone who's done it, rather than 'guessing'

    That.

He's charging you differently for shipping, it is NOT included in the main price. The actual prices are abysmal, the entirety of that is his profit.

I doubt he pays much of anything on customs, probably has someone managed there who lets his stuff pass for free .

as a businessman he deserves the right to make profit. he is not forcing anyone to buy from him. besides go to customs and experience the hassle from them, i am sure you would like to pay more than wasting time arguing with them. and if anyone has internationally accepted credit card, then why bother imporing by third person, he can buy by himself. no need to pay extra.
