Not trying to flame anyone, but it's a terrible port, imo. No FOV option and a locked FOV of what feels like 50 degrees horizontal at most. I find myself leaning toward my 24" screen in a useless attempt to see more. Run/Jump/Cover/Evade is all the same key - so don't try running next to something that can be used as cover - you'll take cover instead of running.
In the menus, the Interact/Use key (for gameplay) is the back key, and the Evade key is the 'enter' key. WTF?!?
No way to turn off mouse smoothing or acceleration. Moving my mouse quickly causes my character to turn very slowly. Moving my mouse slowly makes him turn very quickly.
It's like they signed off on this port on 'opposite day'.
No volume controls. Starting the config takes way too long, especially for such a simple/basic config screen. Heck, having to set the config outside the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Adjust mouse, start game, test, quit game, adjust mouse...ad infinitum.
At least it has a few decent graphics options for tuning and recognized 5 of my mouse buttons (that's pretty impressive, actually...considering how many PC titles only recognize 3).
I have no idea what SEGA's goal was in bringing this to PC, but it seems to have involved the minimum effort necessary...and it shows.
I played the demo last night and went to bed, no longer enthused about the game at all. It's installed now and I'm going to give it some time today, but I don't have high hopes at this point. :\
To all those truly enjoying the game - I envy you (a bit, at least).
