    Default Gta 4 Problem?

    My Cousin is Currently Playing gta 4.But he Is having lots of Problem Playing it.The Game Crashes a lot on High game Details.Sometimes his Monitor goes really colourful and the pc hangs.Even on low details the game crashes after 30 m.his Specs are zotac gtx 550 ti.2 gb Ddr2 ram.dont remember the Processor but it was 2.7 ghz.he plays on 1366.780 res.is it problem with his cpu?

    that grafix card cant cope up with gta 4. besides gta 4 is power hungry game. even at that res, i dont think you can play with 2gb ram.

    i thnk its the ram coz 550ti is enough to run gta at high res

    resolution is completely VRAM bound. system memory doesn't have any effect on it. gta iv is more of a cpu-intensive game but 2GB is well enough for that....
    although i didn't use but heard that a patch fixes everything.....

    550ti is enuf. I think this is happening either bcoz of Ram or ur CPU. And Dont worry bro? PC version of GTA 4 is just bullshit, an utter piece of crap.

    i get 60fps constant at high setngs (1366x768)with my 6670 , so he should get much better with a 550ti..and dnt even face any prb or crashing..so it is s0me isue than the gpu

    yes you are Right.He uses a Dual core.my cousin just bought another 4 gb ram.he said its playable now but not at high.He will change the Processor to i3/i5 next month.THNX FOR THE HELP.
