kotha thik. dunno about any more trophies on HT technology's side
HT tecnology is a method where a single processor acts as two virtual processor, each virtual processor handles different threads. thats the benefit actually.
it was designed for 3 ghz processor specially for xeon server processor.
but it cant act as a true dual-processor system, so HT is some sort of different than core 2 duo.
intel 845 series support HT technology.
[bhai vul hoile maf koiren ]
think your processor is 800MHZ FSB HT TECH that means cpu can operate at highest 1566MHZ BUS
No bro.The thing's you said it was right except one thing.HT Enabled processor can't do multi tasking like a dual core processor anyway. It improves application performance by giving dual virtual cpu (not processing core) thread or logical processor thread which they called Hyper Threading. Please refer to wiki for more details. And same thing "Vul hole maaf diyen"![]()
HT has absolutely nothing to do with FSB, just to clear it out
Hyperthreading allows a 1 core processor to act as two cores virtually to the operating system (one main core, one virtual core). the operating system then feeds the processor thinking there are two cores.
however, a true dual core system can work on one single process with two cores. but with HT, the main core works on the active process, and the virtual core will only be able to work with other processes failed while processing the main process (cache misses, mispredicted branches)
so in some applications, expect performance increases of around 15% to 30% maximum. but its nowhere near a true dual core processor, make no mistake about that
