Thread: Help me to build my pc

  1. #1

Question Help me to build my pc

My Old pc is not working anymore , So i am in need of buying a new pc

I am not a hardcore gamer, but i play rts type of games & do some cpu intensive work

I am in tight budget thus i will be using Some parts from the old pc . and will upgrade them later.

Note that though i am in tight budget i am looking for some good build

So here's is my current selection of new parts that i will buy .

MainBoard: not sure but looking for some z68 based board . (~12k)
Processor: intel core i3 2100 . enough for my need i guess and these is the minimum i can get in sandybridge architecture, right ?) (~10k)
Chassis: Thermal take V3 black edition with psu . i like these but maybe there are some better alternative (~5k)
Ram: G, skill DDR3 1330 (2x2GB) not sure about the price & availability

My budget is around 30k . and i will keep using the old gpu (Radeon HD 4650) and the Harddisk .

I was thinking about switching to ivy bridge if possible and get a better cpu maybe core i7 in the next year.

well these are my thoughts but you are welcome to change it
and please if you know the current price of any product that i have mentioned above let me know .

He has a plan to change his cpu later. So he is planned out for a z68. And for the gpu, he wishes to keep his current one. Dont you see that these infos are written in the first post?

An Ivy cpu on a Sandy mobo huh!!! Cool.... AFAIK all the z68s won't support Ivy Bridge....... So be extra careful on that issue.... ..... But I would suggest go buy a h61 with the 2100 and heck.............. Sell those and buy a new pair when u feel like it..... ......

Who said that? Z68 is the only chipset which is more viable of supporting Ivy Bridge, with newer UEFI/BIOS from their respective manufacturers. There are already Z68s available on the market which support Ivy Bridge "out of the box", and more and more are getting updated.

Try to buy a Gen3 board, that way once you have Ivy Bridge in the markets, you can pop one in on the Z68 boards, and have PCIe 3.0.
