Thread: PC within 50K

  1. #1

    Default PC within 50K

I am looking for the following within 50K:

Processor : Core i5 (3 Ghz or more)
    RAM : 4 GB
    HDD: 500 GB
GPU: Should I go for Dual GPU or a single 2 GB GPU (I saw some in Multiplan)
Casing: Really depends on the GPU choice and power requirements.

PSU: If casing PSU is not enough

The budget may also be a little stretchable.

    Thanks.

Well I'm not sure about the current market prices, let's just discuss about the products you're gonna buy. If you are interested in overclocking, you should get the 2500k, but that's pretty much expensive right now I guess, so a 2400 is something you should be looking at. RAMs used to be cheap a few weeks ago, but prices have increased and the market is flooded by cheap new brands as far as I'm concerned. Choose between ADATA/Transcend/Twinmos. As for the GPU, a powerful single GPU is always better than dual cards. A misconception among many people is the more the memory (GB) the better. Actually the thing is, the "GB" matters if you play games at a very high resolution, i.e., >1920*1080/1920*1200. Yes a 2GB card would be more future-proof, but a good 1GB card isn't going to be bad either. Please let us know what resolution you'll be playing games at. The cheap yet good cases at this moment are the InWin cases. Since most of there cases have a common round bezel, it might not suit everyone, but the performance and cable management facilities they provide at the price is great. The InWin Mana cases cost around 4.5k, and have very good airflow and cable routing holes. I recommend it over the Tt Dokker if you are okay with the outlook. As for the PSU, if you go for a good case like from InWin or Tt, you won't be getting a PSU with that. It completely depends on what card you're gonna buy, but it's always a wise decision to avoid PSUs that come with the cases.

    How about this:

    i5 2400 – 19000
    Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2P-B3 – 5500
    Transcend 4GB DDR3 1600 - 2200
    Samsun 500 GB – 7800
    Casing - 1500
    PSU: Gigabyte 570W Power Supply - 6000

    Total : 42000 Tk

About the GPU: I will use the Samsung S19A300N Monitor which works best on 1366x768, so will I need 2 GB or 1 GB will be enough
Sapphire HD6670 2GB is available for 7800, Which totals 49800 Tk

Are you planning for a gaming PC? If yes, get a better GPU. The 2400 won't boost gaming performance without a good GPU, and a card with 1GB memory is enough for that resolution.

Not bad, but it'd be better if you can get a 6850.
